micro1 is hiring Native English Audio Engineers to produce and QA spoken English data for LLM speech, TTS, ASR, and dubbing/voice-over projects. You will record, edit, direct talent, and evaluate recordings for naturalness, clarity, and guideline alignment. This is precision audio work for engineers with dubbing, VO, and studio skills.What you will doRecord and edit native English VO/dubbing sessions: script prep, mic setup, capture, comping, and clean deliveryProvide voice direction and QC for talent on pacing, intonation, stress, pronunciation, and persona matchingPerform audio engineering tasks: noise reduction, de-plosiving, leveling, EQ/compression, sync, and format conversionQA final files for defects like clipping, distortion, mouth clicks, room tone issues, and alignment with script/metadataAnnotate datasets with speaker IDs, timestamps, and issue tags; document defects and process improvementsRequirementsNative or near-native English with studio-quality recording and engineering abilityProven experience in dubbing, voice-over production, and audio engineering using DAWs like Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, Reaper, or AudacityStrong ear for audio quality: levels, noise floor, plosives, edits, and natural prosodyClear communication for giving talent feedback and writing concise QC notes and reportsComfort with file management, labeling tools, and high-volume, deadline-driven workflowsBonusExperience with speech datasets, TTS/ASR pipelines, or phonetics/linguisticsComp & details$40-$95/hour based on session complexity and expertise.Remote-first with flexible scheduling.Ongoing speech and dubbing dataset work.To applyShare your CV, studio/DAW setup + tool experience, and 1-2 examples of VO/dubbing or QA work with your approach.
