Position descriptionThe Client Development Manager is a key member of our Growth team and plays a dual role as both a sales leader and individual contributor. This person will support the VP of Growth in strategy, management, coaching, and elevating the Client Development Specialist (CDS) team, while also owning a small book of business and contributing directly to revenue.This is a highly visible role designed for someone who thrives in a player/coach environment: leading from the front, building strong sales habits across the team, strengthening conversion performance, and partnering with leadership to execute initiatives that drive scalable growth.The Client Development Manager is also a key steward of the ConceiveAbilities brand experience, ensuring that every Intended Parent feels supported through warm, timely, professional, and consultative interactions.Position responsibilitiesTeam Leadership & CoachingPartner with the VP of Growth to support day-to-day management of the CDS team (performance tracking, accountability, and execution support)Coach CDS team members on consultative sales skills, objection handling, follow-up quality, and conversion strategyReinforce a high-performance sales culture through consistent team rhythms (1:1s, pipeline reviews, call coaching, and best practice sharing)Identify skill gaps and create micro-training moments to improve team consistency and outcomesStrategy, Initiatives & Process ImprovementSupport the VP of Growth in rolling out new Growth initiatives (process changes, messaging updates, sales plays, tools, funnel experiments)Continuously evaluate funnel performance and refine team workflows that improve efficiency and conversionPlan and host educational webinars, community meetings, and in-person events to further inform Intended Parents of our value proposition and deliver a strong brand experienceRepresent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings as neededDevelop new and creative ways to diversify ConceiveAbilities lead portfolio and tap into new marketsCollaborate with Sales Enablement and Marketing to ensure collateral and tools are on-point and up-to-dateRevenue OwnershipManage a limited portfolio of leads and consultations, converting prospective Intended Parents into clientsDeliver a thoughtful, empathetic, and high-integrity consultative sales experienceEnsure excellent follow-through, responsiveness and CRM hygiene, modeling the behaviors expected across the CDS teamQualifications and skillsStrong drive to consistently meet and exceed performance goalsDeep curiosity about Intended Parents, the competitive landscape, and the evolving fertility and surrogacy industryProven coaching capability with the ability to improve performance through clear feedback, accountability, and skill developmentComfortable operating in a fast-paced, scaling environment with evolving prioritiesStrong operational rigor with the ability to build, document, and continuously improve processes and team cadenceHigh emotional intelligence with strong professionalism, judgment, and discretionExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPersistent and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate obstacles and deliver strong outcomesRequirements5+ years of direct sales experience in a quota carrying/closing role & management experienceExperience driving growth in a service or B2C environmentFluency with a wide array of sales and marketing toolsExperience with digital and CRM work environments, specifically Salesforce, Google Workspace, RingCentral and Trello, and DocuSignPrevious experience within the fertility or surrogacy market a major plusWe offer:Generous PTORemote-first culture, with participation in in-person Employee EventsTravel for Employee EventsMedical, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability, basic life, and voluntary life401(k) with matching contributionsFSAsContinuing education allowanceThe opportunity to make a difference and help build familiesEmployment Type: Full TimeReports To: Hannah Drummond-Hay, VP of GrowthConceiveAbilities is an equal opportunity employer.
