Requirements and responsibilities

We are seeking a tenacious and well-connected Media Outreach Specialist to champion our roster of speakers and elevate their visibility beyond the boardroom and onto the main stage. This role is responsible for amplifying member profiles by proactively securing high-impact opportunities across live speaking engagements, media appearances, and podcasts or audio platforms. The Media Outreach Specialist will act as a talent agent, publicist, and strategist, ensuring that experts remain top-of-mind for event planners, journalists, and content creators covering the future of technology and business. Responsibilities include: * Researching and identifying relevant industry conferences, corporate summits, executive retreats, and trade shows across North America, Asia Pacific, and global markets. * Proactively pitching speakers for live speaking engagements aligned with industry themes and event objectives. * Drafting speaker abstracts and session proposals tailored to specific event topics. * Building and maintaining relationships with event organizers and content directors to position members as keynote speakers and panelists. * Monitoring news cycles related to cybersecurity, AI, and national security to pitch speakers as expert commentators for breaking news across television, radio, print, and digital media. * Securing interviews, op-ed opportunities, and guest bylines in business and technology publications and relevant industry journals. * Overseeing the development of press kits, speaker reels, and bio sheets that highlight expertise and on-camera presence. * Identifying and pitching high-traffic podcasts within business, technology, and leadership categories to secure guest appearances aligned with speaker expertise. * Collaborating with the marketing team to leverage secured appearances for social media and digital content amplification.
