Position OverviewMetroSys is seeking an experienced Cisco Data Center Consultant to support pre-sales and assessment activities for enterprise clients. This role will serve as a trusted technical resource during customer discovery, infrastructure assessments, and solution development engagements.The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on Cisco data center expertise with the ability to engage clients, assess current-state environments, identify risks and opportunities, and help develop modernization roadmaps and solution recommendations.This is an ad hoc consulting role intended to support pre-sales opportunities, infrastructure assessments, workshops, and customer-facing technical engagements. Travel may be required based on client needs.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct technical discovery sessions and infrastructure assessments for enterprise data center environments.Evaluate current-state compute, network, virtualization, and storage architectures.Perform Cisco-focused assessments across:Cisco UCSCisco NexusCisco ACICisco MDSCisco IntersightIdentify technical risks, lifecycle concerns, performance bottlenecks, and modernization opportunities.Develop assessment findings, recommendations, and executive-level reports.Support solution architects and sales teams during customer engagements.Participate in customer workshops, design reviews, and strategy sessions.Assist with scoping projects, developing statements of work (SOWs), and estimating implementation efforts.Provide guidance on:Data center modernizationCompute refresh initiativesVirtualization platformsHybrid cloud connectivityNetwork and storage integrationDeliver architecture recommendations and migration strategies aligned with client business objectives.Serve as a subject matter expert during technical presentations and customer discussions.Required Qualifications3+ years of enterprise data center engineering or consultingDeep hands-on expertise with:Cisco UCSCisco NexusCisco ACICisco Data Center networkingStrong understanding of:VMware environmentsData center networkingCompute and storage infrastructureDisaster recovery and high availability designExperience performing infrastructure assessments and technical discovery workshops.Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and executive stakeholders.Experience supporting pre-sales and solution development activities.Ability to travel throughout the Eastern United States as required.A Technology Company.
