Requirements and responsibilities


Responsibilities: - Own patient communication across phone, text, email, and patient portal in both English and Spanish. - Triage incoming patient requests, recognizing urgent issues that require immediate physician attention while independently managing routine requests. - Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record (EMR). - Coordinate referrals, imaging, laboratory testing, prescriptions, and follow-up care. - Manage physician scheduling, calendar coordination, and administrative workflows. - Monitor laboratory results, medication refills, vaccinations, TB reporting, and other clinical tasks to ensure nothing falls through the cracks. - Identify workflow inefficiencies and proactively recommend improvements. - Follow and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while maintaining exceptional organization. - Batch questions appropriately, solve problems independently, and escalate only when physician input is truly needed. - Protect the physician's time by taking complete ownership of delegated responsibilities. Requirements: - Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent nursing degree recognized in your home country (U.S. license not required). - Native or fluent Spanish. - Professional-level English (written and spoken). - Strong clinical knowledge of outpatient medicine. - Ability to distinguish urgent from non-urgent patient concerns. - Experience with medications, laboratory interpretation, vaccinations, TB reporting, and clinical documentation. - Experience working remotely with physicians or healthcare teams. - Comfortable learning new software and technology. - Available during U.S. Central Time business hours. - Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office.
