Through unmatched insights and expertise, white-glove service, purpose-built tools, and risk underwriting, we power a more prosperous, clean, and secure energy future.We are scaling quickly and looking for team members who are eager to combine deep expertise with an AI- and tech-forward mindset.The OpportunityWe are seeking a Principal to join our Tax Investor Coverage team, reporting to our Head of Tax Investor Coverage, to rapidly scale the network of buyers, and execute more transactions.What you'll do Build your own book of business; nurture and grow buyers through the entire customer lifecycle in order to achieve scale of buyer tax credit appetite and reach targeted outcomes.Generate new buyer leads through conferences, networking, outreach, and other creative methods.Establish credibility, cultivate, and expand partnerships with key senior leaders at corporate buyers, family offices, accounting and tax firms, and banks.Educate buyers on the critical role of the Crux platform in tax credit transactions and demonstrate how to utilize Crux to achieve more effective and efficient outcomes.Serve as a facilitative partner and resource to buyers throughout the transaction lifecycle, including developing custom strategies to best meet buyer’s needs.Educate buyers on risks and mitigants and proactively address transaction issue.ExpectationsBuild strong relationships with buyers and facilitate buyers gaining access to and utilizing the Crux platformProblem solve and address key commercial issues effectively and quicklyUnderstand Crux platform, buyer sales process, transaction flow, pricing, and commercial agreementsServe as an expert resource to buyers on all aspects of tax credit transactions, as well as leverage internal and external subject matter expertsOperate with autonomy, quickly surface issues, research and propose solutionsMaintain your customer data in product and other internal toolsInform product development with user insights and subject matter expertiseDiscuss complicated topics with clarity and accuracyStrong collaborative and team orientation; meaningfully contribute to key growth initiativesWhat you bring8+ years of experienceSelling tax-related financial products to corporates and family offices; orAdvising on tax credit accounting methods and transactions; orHaving played a leading role in structured origination and/or distribution offinancial products, especially tax credits or tax equity3 + years of renewable tax credit experienceComfortable and confident with cold outreach, conference participation and publicspeakingStrong written and verbal communication skillsUnrivaled relationship building skills; you build trust quickly and communicate clearlyAdaptable and excited about building at the early stage.
