Technical Business Analyst at SoHo Dragon

SoHo Dragon represents an investment bank located in the New York City area. Our client is looking for a Technical Business Analyst with advanced knowledge and experience in Banking and Capital Markets. The successful candidate should have an MBA and/or CFA/CPA, as well as the ability to write SQL and perform data analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience in capturing and documenting data requirements, extracting and transforming data, identifying and interpreting patterns, and preparing data sets. We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst with 10+ years of experience in IT and Business Analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of VB, SQL, Power BI, and web technology efficiencies. They should also possess a good understanding of Banking and Capital Markets, Derivatives Cash Flow, and Collateral. Additionally, the candidate should have experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and be familiar with Waterfall and Agile methodologies. Experience with JIRA administration and acting as a power user is a plus. The successful candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects, and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills. They should also have the ability to deal with large volumes of data via SQL, excellent planning and follow-up skills, and the ability to meet aggressive deadlines. The candidate should be able to quickly assess issues, react to changing circumstances and new information, and possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
