Responsibilities
✅ Responsibilities:
● In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining highly scalable, secure, and efficient server-side applications and services using Java Spring, relational databases, and microservices to consistently meet user stories/goals within a financial services environment.
● Collaborate with product management (using tools like Trello, Jira, Confluence) to convert technical requirements from the backlog into code increments. Develop clean, maintainable, and well-documented API code and services for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with trading platform standards.
● Plan, test, and debug software using internal QA practices to ensure functionality and error-free releases, particularly in fast-paced trading environments where performance and reliability are critical.
● Collaborate with fellow engineers in daily scrums and product meetings to prioritize, design, and implement new features aligned with trading strategies or financial product needs.
● Assist with customer-prioritized requests and scheduled meetings to provide technical expertise and deliver effective solutions to issues in live trading environments.
● Actively participate in architectural and database design discussions to ensure scalability, performance, and security, essential in trading platforms handling high-frequency transactions.
● Participate in external security audits and compliance reviews with clients and project managers to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards in financial technology.
