Acuity is currently seeking a Trauma Surgeon to provide support for on-site health units for rapid deployment to support emergency efforts. This is a temporary position and length of assignment may vary based on operational needs and client requirements. Responsibilities: - Conduct trauma evaluations - Perform exploratory surgeries, chest wall stabilizations, appendectomies, and bronchoscopies as well as nonoperative techniques - Coordinate patient care with other providers - Address acute medical conditions, traumatic brain injury, burns, automobile crash injuries, severe fall injuries, spleen and liver injuries, and critical illness complications - Provide preoperative, operative, and post-operative management of patient care - Record and maintain patient information in accordance with standard protocols and the Privacy Act - Protect patients' privacy through confidentiality, infection control procedures, assuring consistent medication administration, and assuring proper storage and maintenance procedures for all equipment and supplies - Perform other duties as assigned in accordance with contract requirements
