Requirements and responsibilities
We’re looking for a Fullstack Developer with proven experience in the Shopify ecosystem — whether building Shopify apps, integrating with the Shopify API, or working with Shopify Plus brands through an agency environment. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded developer comfortable with modern JavaScript frameworks, backend development, and has a strong understanding of the unique challenges of eCommerce development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, test, and deploy custom Shopify apps and integrations using Shopify APIs (REST & GraphQL).
* Build and maintain front-end components for Shopify storefronts using React, Next.js, or Liquid templates.
* Implement and optimize backend systems using Node.js, Express, or similar frameworks.
* Collaborate with product, design, and QA teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
* Work with Shopify Plus brands to create and maintain performant storefronts and custom functionalities.
* Optimize site performance and ensure best practices in accessibility, SEO, and responsive design.
* Stay up-to-date on Shopify’s latest releases, API changes, and ecosystem trends.
Required Qualifications:
* 3+ years of professional fullstack development experience.
* Hands-on experience with Shopify — building or maintaining apps, integrations, or storefronts.
* Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, and Liquid.
* Familiarity with Shopify Admin API, Storefront API, and webhooks.
* Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
* Understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and OAuth authentication.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
* Experience with Shopify Plus or Hydrogen/Remix frameworks.
* Knowledge of AWS, Vercel, or other cloud deployment platforms.
* Experience working in a Shopify app development company or agency environment.
* Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and DevOps best practices.
* Familiarity with headless commerce and microservices architecture.
