THE ROLE – VP OF FINANCE
We are looking for a VP of Finance to build and scale the financial backbone of Kira.
This is a high-impact leadership role. You will oversee payment operations, accounting, treasury strategy, and financial controls across multiple jurisdictions while building systems that scale with growth.
You will work directly with the CEO and leadership team, improving financial visibility, operational rigor, and capital efficiency across the company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
PAYMENT OPERATIONS
• Ensure all payments are processed accurately and on time, minimizing operational risk
• Implement AI-driven tools and workflows to reduce manual processes and reporting
• Review and approve internal payments in line with company controls and policies
ACCOUNTING AND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
• Coordinate with external accounting firms to manage quarterly reporting and tax compliance across Colombia, Mexico, and the United States
• Analyze bank statements and financial performance to ensure adherence to budget and targets
• Oversee Accounts Payable, ensuring vendors are billed accurately and preventing overcharges
• Oversee Accounts Receivable, including invoicing and timely collections
TREASURY
• Actively manage treasury operations and optimize capital allocation to maximize monthly APY
• Monitor and minimize FX exposure across currencies
• Improve cash forecasting and liquidity management processes
TEAM AND ROLE STRUCTURE
• Initially manage a team of three focused on finance-related activities
• Recruit and mentor an intern to support operational and strategic initiatives
• Build scalable systems that enable the future growth of the finance function
WORK MODEL AND TRAVEL
• Hybrid role with in-office presence required two days per week
• Travel required at least quarterly
MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS
• 2+ years of experience at a top-tier firm (technology, consulting, finance, or equivalent)
• Strong ambition to become a founder or C-level leader within the next three years
• Exceptional execution speed and strong sense of urgency
• High ownership mindset and comfort operating in ambiguity

• Based near one of our offices (Miami, Mexico City, Bogotá)
• Graduated after 2017 from a top university
• Experience at a stablecoins, payments, or fintech infrastructure company
