ABOUT US
Decolure is a US e-commerce company generating $18M+ annually on Amazon, with expanding presence on TikTok Shop and DTC Shopify. We operate five private-label brands with twenty-plus active products.
What makes us different is how much of the analysis is already automated: custom data pipelines, SKU-level costing across 703 SKUs, AI-powered operational agents, and structured decision frameworks. This is not a company where you make gut calls. What we lack is not data — it is someone accountable for the decisions the data points to.
We are a 27-person distributed team. High autonomy, and ownership matters more than hours logged.
THE ROLE
This is one of our most critical hires. Our logistics department has more work than bandwidth, and we have learned through hard experience what this role needs.
Here's the reality:
More than $30,000 a month in Amazon storage fees, with long-term storage as a compounding financial problem that needs systematic management.
Supplier negotiation, freight optimisation and cost benchmarking are unaddressed.
Forecasting is reactive. It needs to become cross-functional — incorporating PPC spend, the deals calendar, channel data and seasonal patterns.
3PL strategy is nascent and needs formalising as a resilience layer.
All China-based suppliers need consolidated relationship management.
And one more, which is new this year: the 2026 tariff and trade environment has changed underneath us and we have not fully responded to it. More on that below.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
Pillar 1: Inventory Intelligence & Demand Planning
Days-of-supply targets, safety stock methodology, and the forecasting process across all SKU tiers.
Keep hero SKUs — 60 to 80% of revenue — inside target supply windows. Right now two of them sit at roughly four days of buffer against a seventy-day lead time.
Build cross-functional forecasting that incorporates PPC spend, the deals calendar, seasonality and channel-specific demand.
Own sell-through optimisation across the portfolio.
Own sell-through rate optimization across the portfolio
Pillar 2: Supply Chain & Supplier Management
Build this function from the ground up. It is genuinely greenfield.
Manage China-based suppliers across satin, bamboo and cooling lines.
Establish the full purchase order lifecycle: issuance, production tracking, QC inspection, freight, receiving.
Supplier scorecards tracking lead time, defect rate, cost per unit and responsiveness.
Freight optimisation and end-to-end COGS tracking.
Pillar 3: 3PL & FBA Operations
Define and track 3PL service levels: processing time, storage cost, outbound accuracy, prep quality.
Plan inbound shipments to minimise placement fees.
Build a reimbursement recovery process.
Develop 3PL capacity as a buffer against demand spikes and supply disruption.
Pillar 4: Cost Optimization & Storage and Duty Governance
Systematic fee mitigation across long-term storage, surcharges, shipping rates and landed cost.
Own the financial exposure dashboard.
Build removal and liquidation ROI models — and know when holding aged inventory is the right answer, because sometimes it is.
Own duty exposure. Classification accuracy, Section 301 stacking, and refund recovery. This is new for 2026 and it is now one of the largest levers in the role.
Make sure we are never surprised by a cost cliff we should have seen coming
Pillar 5: Team Development & Process Formalization
Lead existing operators and grow the function. A Logistics Analyst reports to you.
Document SOPs for all recurring processes.
Establish cadences that run without prompting.
Build a department that works when you are not in the room.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
Required:
Four to six or more years in logistics or supply chain, with two or more years owning outcomes as a leader or senior individual contributor.
Hands-on Amazon FBA experience. Long-term storage fee mechanics, surcharges, inbound planning, placement fees, fee structures. This is not negotiable and we test it.
Landed cost fluency. You can build a landed cost per unit from FOB, freight, duty and fees without a template, and explain what moves it.
At least one 3PL relationship managed end to end.
A track record of building processes from scratch in a resource-constrained environment.
Experience managing or building a small logistics team.
Advanced Excel or Google Sheets. You will build models, dashboards and trackers from day one.
Financial acuity — you translate logistics decisions into dollar impact by default.
Strong written and spoken English, and at least four hours of daily overlap with US Eastern time.
Strong Preference
China-based suppliers and international ocean freight, FCL and LCL.
US customs and duty exposure. Incoterms, HTS classification, Section 301 stacking, ISF. If you have run a refund protest, say so prominently.
Amazon AWD, and familiarity with what changed in January 2026.
FBA reimbursement processes.
Scaling logistics across 100+ variations in a colour and size matrix.
Understanding how PPC and promotional activity affect inventory planning.
You’ll thrive here if you:
Treat the department's financial exposure like it is your own money. You do not wait to be told something is a problem.
Instinctively build repeatable processes rather than solving the same thing manually every time.
Can look at a list of urgent items, pick the ones that actually matter this week, and say clearly what is being deferred and why.
This Isn’t For You If
Your strength is strategy and frameworks and you are not excited about personally pulling data and building spreadsheets — at least until the team grows.
You need heavy top-down direction, or perfect information before you will make a call.
Your experience is entirely enterprise or Fortune 500 logistics with no e-commerce or Amazon exposure.
You see a small early-stage team and think "that is beneath me" rather than "that is a chance to build something."
