This role reports to the Head of Tax Investor Coverage and will manage a team of junior professionals, while also helping shape and influence Crux's broader tax credit buyer strategy.What you'll doDevelop long-term client relationships with tax and finance leaders at the largest F250 tax credit buyers and tax equity investors across utilities, real estate, and industrialsBuild net new relationships for Crux through conferences, networking, outreach, our extensive partnerships, and inboundBe a trusted expert in the market by speaking on webinars, on panels at conferences, and moreServe as a trusted advisor, helping them build their tax credit investing strategyPartner with external buyer advisors including legal and tax to navigate complex transaction itemsManage and mentor a team of junior professionals, overseeing their development, workflow, and quality of executionHelp shape and influence Crux's overall tax credit buyer strategy, informing how the firm prioritizes segments, partnerships, and go-to-market approachAct as an internal subject matter expert on technical topics related to renewable tax creditsContribute to and lead the development of new offerings for our most strategic partnersChampion the creation of and adoption of intellectual propertyPartner with product and customer success teams to ensure tax and finance teams get maximal benefit out of the Crux technology platformWho you are14+ years of experience in tax, accounting, legal practice, and/or tax advantaged investingProven track record building and owning long-term client relationships with tax and finance teams at large corporations from scratchExperience managing and developing junior team membersComfortable and confident with cold outreach, conference participation and public speakingStrong collaborative and team orientationUnrivaled relationship building skills; you build trust quickly and communicate clearlyExcited about the idea of a rapid-growth environment with a lot of autonomy, flexibilityYou’re not afraid to roll-up your sleeves and build things yourselfWilling to travel, 25%Contribute to and help build team cultureFINRA SIE, Series 79 and 63 required or willingness to obtain under Crux’s broker-dealer sponsorshipWhat we bringBacking, traction & brand:We have raised $77 million in capital from some of the best venture and strategic investors, including Andreessen Horowitz, Lowercarbon Capital, New System Ventures, Ardent Venture Partners, Pattern, Clearway, EDFR, Intersect, LS Power, Orsted, Hartree Partners, Liberty Mutual Strategic Ventures, MassMutual Ventures, and OMERS Ventures.$500m debt warehouse facility from Nuveen to invest in clean energy.Profitable and are growing exponentiallyClosed over 130+ transactions in just the last 2 years, facilitating billions of dollars of capital flowing into renewables projectsCulture & working dynamicRemote-first operating model: Work from anywhere in the US and Canada, or work out of our optional offices in DC (open), NYC (opening Q1’26).
