As a Technical Program Manager at Marqeta, you will be responsible for leading technical workstreams or initiatives, coordinating work across engineering teams to deliver complex projects on time and within scope. The Product Operations and Technical Program Management team operates as an integral component of the Strategy and Operations organisation within the Product organisation.We specialise in facilitating and orchestrating Product and Engineering teams and strategic initiatives that encompass our platform, product portfolio, and new innovations for our customers. Our team functions as the essential connective tissue between engineering, product, TechAI, go-to-market, and customer-facing teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and aligned execution across these critical organisational functions.This role can be performed remotely within the UK or from our London, Holborn office. We’d love for you to join us!The Impact You’ll HaveDrive technical projects from concept to completion, managing scope, schedule, and resourcesIdentify dependencies, risks, and issues; develop mitigation strategiesFacilitate communication between engineering, product, design, and business teamsLead technical planning, estimation, and prioritization sessionsDocument technical decisions and ensure alignment across stakeholdersProvide regular status updates to leadership and remove obstacles for engineering teamsBalance technical tradeoffs with business requirements and timelinesWho You AreBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field3+ years of technical program/project management experienceStrong understanding of relevant technologies, software development methodologies and processes (S-SDLC)Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
