You'll play a key role in helping accounting practitioners stay current on evolving standards while influencing the future direction of Professional education.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys researching complex technical topics, translating them into engaging learning experiences, and serving as a trusted subject matter expert within the accounting profession.What You'll Do:Drive Content Strategy and InnovationMonitor developments from the FASB, AICPA, PCAOB, SEC, and other regulatory bodiesIdentify emerging trends, challenges, and educational needs within the accounting professionEvaluate market opportunities and recommend new courses or enhancements to existing curriculumPartner with leadership and marketing teams to ensure our content remains timely, relevant, and competitiveDevelop Industry-Leading Educational ContentDesign, develop, and update CPE courses covering:U.S. GAAPAuditing Standards (GAAS)SSARSSEC DevelopmentsEthicsOther key accounting and auditing topicsCreate engaging learning materials including:Presentation decksCourse manuals and chaptersKnowledge checks and assessment questionsTechnical articles and content summariesEnsure all educational content complies with NASBA and applicable CPE standardsServe as a Subject Matter ExpertProvide technical expertise on complex accounting and auditing mattersCollaborate with internal teams to answer customer questions and support educational initiativesContribute technical articles, blogs, and thought leadership contentSupport strategic initiatives that enhance the value and reach of Surgent's curriculumOptional Teaching OpportunitiesDepending on experience and interest, you may also:Present CPE courses in webinar, live, or self-study formatsEngage directly with accounting professionals during training sessionsServe as a primary resource for technical participant questionsWhat We're Looking For:Required QualificationsActive CPA licenseStrong technical accounting expertise, including U.S. GAAP and auditing standardsExperience researching and interpreting complex accounting guidanceExceptional written and verbal communication skillsStrong project management and organizational abilitiesAbility to simplify technical concepts for professional audiencesPreferred QualificationsPublic accounting audit experienceExperience developing training, educational content, or instructional materialsExperience presenting technical content to professional audiencesBackground in instructional design or adult learning methodologiesExperience creating technical publications, courses, or thought leadership contentIdeal Candidate Profile:This role is ideal for a CPA who enjoys technical research and learning, stays current on evolving accounting standards, and is passionate about helping others succeed.
