About the RoleThe M&A Corporate Development Associate works to execute corporate development and acquisition activities. In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of all aspects of the M&A process, including sourcing opportunities, evaluating acquisition targets, conducting due diligence, building financial models, and supporting transaction execution. As the M&A Corporate Development Associate, you will provide analytical and strategic support to help drive the continued growth of our fast-paced company. A-LIGN will depend on you as the M&A Corporate Development Associate to support acquisition strategy, transaction execution, and corporate development initiatives.Reports toSenior Vice President of Financial Planning and AnalysisResponsibilitiesHelp manage the end-to-end M&A process, coordinating internal stakeholders, advisors, and external counterparties to keep deals on timelineReview confidential information memoranda (CIMs), management presentations, and data rooms; synthesize findings into clear investment theses and recommendationsBuild and maintain financial models, including valuation, LBO/return analysis, and buyside and synergy cases to support deal evaluationBuild and maintain the acquisition pipeline; proactively source and screen targets with A-LIGN senior leadershipLead relationships with investment bankers, brokers, and intermediaries to surface and track opportunitiesLead and coordinate diligence workstreams, including financial, commercial, legal, technical, and HR diligence activitiesPrepare investment committee and board materials, including target overviews, deal memos, and recommendation decksSupport negotiation, structuring, and execution activities, including LOIs, purchase agreements, and integration planning in partnership with deal counselMaintain pipeline trackers, market maps, and competitive landscape analyses across A-LIGN’s core and adjacent marketsPartner with corporate strategy on build-vs-buy analysis, new-service and new-market opportunity sizing, and post-close integration trackingMinimum QualificationsEDUCATIONBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related fieldEXPERIENCE2–3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, or corporate developmentDemonstrated exposure to M&A processes, including diligence, valuation, execution, and sourcingSKILLSStrong financial modeling and valuation skillsExcellent written and analytical skills with the ability to distill complex information into clear recommendationsAdvanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPointHighly organized self-starter able to manage multiple workstreams and senior stakeholders under deadline pressureAbility to meet deadlines with a high degree of motivationExcellent communication skillsThrives in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work individually as well as collaborativelyBenefitsHealthcare, Dental, and Vision BenefitsEmployer Paid Life Insurance and Disability InsuranceEAP - Employee Assistance ProgramPet Insurance401(k) Plan with Employer MatchingCompetitive Bonus StructureHome Office ReimbursementCertification ReimbursementPersonalized Career CoachingGenerous Paid Time OffPaid Office Closure December 25-January 1Vacation BonusSummer HoursAbout A-LIGNA-LIGN is the leading provider of high-quality, efficient cybersecurity compliance programs.
