ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We're looking for a hands-on DTC Growth Marketer who will own the full performance marketing stack for a multi-brand premium bedding company selling direct-to-consumer via Shopify. This is not a "manage the agency" role — you will be in the ad accounts daily, making optimization decisions, and directly accountable for CAC, ROAS, and revenue growth.
We're a US-based e-commerce company generating $18M+/year across Amazon, Walmart, and TikTok Shop. Our DTC channel is early-stage (~$19K/month) with massive upside. You will be the person who scales it.
You'll work alongside an AI operations agent that handles analytics, reporting, competitor intelligence, and strategic specs. Your job is execution: turning data-driven strategies into live, profitable campaigns and conversion improvements.

Our DTC channel is our strategic growth priority for 2026-2027. We're building it from the ground up with the right team — not rushing to throw money at ads, but systematically constructing a profitable, data-driven growth engine.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Paid Media (Meta + Google) — 50% of your time
Manage $3K–$15K/month ad spend across Meta Ads and Google Ads (Shopping, Search, PMAX)
Build and test full-funnel campaigns: awareness → consideration → conversion
Launch 5-10 new creative concepts per month (you brief the concepts, production team builds assets)
Maintain blended ROAS above 2x (target 3x+), with CAC below $15
Weekly creative testing: hook variations, UGC vs. static, format experiments
Real-time optimization: pause underperformers within 48 hours, scale winners with controlled budget increases
Platform-specific strategy: understand why Meta creative fatigue differs from Google Shopping bid dynamics
CRO & Funnel Optimization — 25% of your time
Own the conversion funnel: sessions → PDP view → add-to-cart → checkout → purchase
Run A/B tests on product pages, landing pages, checkout flow, and trust signals
Diagnose conversion drops using Shopify Analytics + Microsoft Clarity heatmaps
Implement and monitor trust-building elements: reviews, guarantees, social proof, comparison tables
Mobile-first optimization (79% of our traffic is mobile, currently converting at 1.7% vs. desktop 2.2%)
Target: move store-wide conversion rate from ~1.8% to 2.5%+ within 6 months
Email & Retention Support — 15% of your time
Collaborate with email specialist (Klaviyo) on campaign strategy and list growth
Own the connection between paid acquisition and email capture (popup optimization, lead magnets)
Monitor LTV:CAC ratio and repeat purchase rates
Contribute to post-purchase flow strategy (cross-sell timing, winback triggers)
Reporting & Strategy — 10% of your time
Weekly performance report: spend, revenue, ROAS, CAC, CVR, AOV with WoW comparison
Monthly channel P&L with contribution margin analysis
Proactive identification of scaling opportunities and risks
Work with the AI operations agent to translate analytics into action
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE (90-DAY SCORECARD)
Month 1 — Foundation
Full audit of existing Meta + Google Ads accounts completed
Underperforming campaigns paused, winning audiences/creatives identified
First 3 creative test concepts launched
Baseline conversion funnel mapped with drop-off points identified
Weekly reporting cadence established
Month 2 — Traction
Meta ROAS above 1.5x (from current 0.98x)
At least 2 winning ad sets identified and scaling
First CRO test completed (PDP or landing page)
Email capture rate improvement measured
Google Ads Shopping campaigns live and indexed
Month 3 — Scale
Blended ROAS above 2x
CAC trending below $20 (toward $15 target)
Store-wide conversion rate improved 0.3pp+ from baseline
Proven creative testing velocity: 5+ new concepts per month
DTC revenue trajectory toward $25K+/month
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must-Have Experience (Non-Negotiable):
3+ years managing paid media for DTC/Shopify brands (not just Amazon PPC or agency reporting)
Hands-on Meta Ads experience: $3K-$50K/month spend, profitable ROAS track record
Google Ads experience: Shopping, Search, and/or Performance Max campaigns
Demonstrable results: show us before/after ROAS, CAC, or revenue numbers from a past DTC brand
Conversion rate optimization: you've improved CVR on product pages or landing pages with data to prove it
Proficiency with: Meta Business Manager, Google Ads Manager, Google Analytics (GA4), Shopify Analytics
Strong analytical skills: can calculate ROAS, CAC, LTV, MER, contribution margin without a calculator app
English fluency: written and verbal, sufficient for creative briefs and strategic communication
Strong Preferences:
Experience with premium/lifestyle brands (home, bedding, wellness, beauty)
Klaviyo or email marketing platform experience
A/B testing methodology (not just "we tried something" — structured hypothesis → test → result)
Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar, or similar behavioral analytics tools
Understanding of attribution challenges (platform-reported vs. actual ROAS discrepancy)
Nice-to-Have:
Experience with Triple Whale, Northbeam, or post-purchase survey attribution
Shopify theme editing or basic Liquid knowledge
Video ad editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, etc.)
Experience in a company running both Amazon + DTC simultaneously (cross-channel dynamics)

Your experience is primarily Amazon PPC (Sponsored Products/Brands/Display) — DTC paid media is fundamentally different
You've only worked agency-side reviewing dashboards, not in-platform making daily optimization decisions
You can't show concrete before/after metrics from a DTC brand you personally managed
You're looking for a strategy-only role — this is 80% execution, 20% strategy
You need constant direction — we want someone who sees a 0.98x ROAS and immediately knows the first 5 things to investigate
