Caraway is seeking a Social Media Contractor (Parental Leave Coverage) to support the execution and reporting of our social media program during a defined parental leave coverage period.This engagement will focus on the operational execution and performance tracking of Caraway’s social media channels, ensuring content is published accurately, reporting is maintained, and performance insights are surfaced to the internal team. This role requires strong platform fluency, attention to detail, and the ability to apply judgment within established systems and processes.This is a project-based, temporary engagement focused on supporting existing social workflows. While Caraway’s internal Social team will continue to lead strategy, creative development, and community engagement, this contractor will focus on executional support, reporting, and system maintenance.Engagement Scope & Key DeliverablesSocial Publishing & ExecutionExecute social media publishing based on a pre-defined content calendar provided by the Caraway teamUtilize Nectar to schedule and publish content across social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, etc.)Repurpose existing content for secondary channels (e.g., Pinterest), ensuring platform-specific formatting and optimizationEnsure accuracy, timing, and quality control of all scheduled contentUpload and organize social assets across platforms, including short-form video distributionSupport execution of operational initiatives such as giveaways and gifting programs as neededMaintain quality control across captions, tagging, links, and publishing cadence Reporting & Performance TrackingProduce weekly and monthly social performance reports using Nectar and existing templatesTrack and compile key metrics including reach, engagement, follower growth, and content performanceMaintain reporting dashboards and ensure data accuracyProvide summary insights highlighting notable performance trends and content learningsSupport competitive benchmarking and industry trackingTrend & Conversation MonitoringMonitor social platforms for relevant trends, conversations, and cultural momentsIdentify and share timely observations and opportunities that go beyond surface-level metrics, and identify meaningful patterns or shiftsTrack competitor activity and notable shifts in the social landscapeSystems & Data ManagementUtilize existing social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Nectar)Maintain tagging, categorization, and tracking systems within reporting platformsMaintain brand social asset organization in AIREEnsure consistent organization and documentation of social content and performance dataSupport upkeep of social analytics workflows and dashboardsOperational SupportMaintain day-to-day operational workflows that support social publishing and reportingTrack and update manual metrics such as follower counts and benchmarksAssist with executional needs tied to campaigns, launches, and social initiativesExperience & Capabilities1–3 years of experience in social media execution, content operations, or digital marketingHands on experience with social media analytics and reporting tools (Nectar, Dash Hudson, Emplifi, or similar)Familiarity with native social platform analyticsStrong working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and emerging social platformsComfort working in reporting dashboards, spreadsheets, and analytics toolsHigh attention to detail and ability to manage repeatable workflows with consistencyContract Type: Fixed-term independent consulting engagement (4 months, with possibility for conversion) Classification: Non-employee, Independent Contractor (1099 Contract Engagement). The engagement does not constitute employment with the organization. Expected start May 18th, 2026. Compensation: $25 - $30 per hour, based on experience, structured as a professional services fee under an independent contractor / consulting agreement (not as salary). The independent contractor will be responsible for their own taxes, insurances and benefits.
