Overview: We are seeking a Senior Cisco SD-WAN Engineer to support a strategic network transformation initiative focused on migrating enterprise sites to a Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela / Catalyst SD-WAN) architecture. This role serves as a dedicated engineering specialist, partnering closely with customer stakeholders to lead technical discovery, architecture design, and migration execution across a multi-site WAN environment. Work Environment: - This is a Full-Time (40 hours/week) Contract position. - The work model is Hybrid, based in Colombia. - It involves high-touch, client-facing interactions. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela / Catalyst) solutions aligned to enterprise standards. - Lead discovery and assessment of current WAN environments, including MPLS, internet circuits, and legacy routing architectures. - Configure Cisco SD-WAN components including vManage, vSmart, vBond, and cEdge/vEdge devices. - Execute site migration activities, including planning, validation, and cutover coordination. - Provide post-deployment support, troubleshooting, and develop documentation like architecture diagrams and runbooks. Minimum Requirements: - 8+ years of experience in network engineering and WAN architecture. - Deep hands-on experience with Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela / Catalyst SD-WAN). - Strong expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), MPLS, and VPN technologies. - Proven experience with enterprise SD-WAN migrations across multi-site environments. - Strong communication skills and ability to work in client-facing roles.
