Position SummaryThe Quality Assurance (QA) Consultant executes structured test planning and validation for MuleSoft APIs and integration components supporting the USACE LPI Solution program. This role develops and runs functional, regression, and integration tests, logs and tracks defects, validates fixes, and supports user acceptance testing (UAT) activities to ensure all delivered MuleSoft integrations meet acceptance criteria and are production-ready. This is a remote position with occasional onsite travel possible.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop comprehensive QA test cases aligned to defined acceptance criteria and user story requirements.Perform unit, integration, and regression testing for MuleSoft APIs and end-to-end integration workflows.Track, manage, and report defects using the program’s defect tracking tool (e.g., Jira), prioritizing P0 (Critical) and P1 (High) issues for timely resolution.Validate bug fixes and confirm resolution through repeat testing and regression validation.Support UAT deployment activities by ensuring User Stories are deployed to the UAT environment within two business days of sprint completion.Provide direct support to customer testers during independent validation efforts, including issue triage and defect documentation.Document test results and certify readiness of delivered functionality for production-ready MVP release.Collaborate with developers, technical leads, and product stakeholders to ensure testing aligns with delivery priorities and sprint timelines.Required QualificationsDemonstrated experience in QA testing for integration/API-based solutions.Experience creating test cases and executing structured test cycles in Agile environments.Experience with defect tracking and workflow tools (e.g., Jira or equivalent).Strong documentation and reporting skills to support certification of release readiness.Preferred QualificationsMuleSoft testing experience (API testing, integration validation, regression suites).Experience testing integrations involving Salesforce and legacy systems.Familiarity with federal/public sector delivery environments and MVP-based release approaches.Tools / TechnologiesJira (or equivalent defect tracking)MuleSoft API/integration testing methods and toolsSalesforce integration testing concepts (as applicable)
