We’re building our company for long-term success and aim to create the ultimate place to work for those passionate about AI and making a positive impact.About the RoleYou'll work with some of the most influential utility companies and other critical industries to shape AI transformation strategy from first principles and see it through.You'll operate as a true trusted partner to your clients, deeply integrated with their senior teams. At the same time, you're part of the connective tissue within AZX, working hand in hand with our engineering and project teams to bring the right capabilities to bear at the right time.You'll lead strategy engagements across some of the most consequential challenges in utilities, clean energy, decarbonization, and beyond. You'll define the problem, design the solution vision, architect the business case, and help lead the transformation from start to finish.This role is for someone who thinks independently, operates like a founder, and is genuinely motivated by impact.What You Will DoOwn the strategic direction of AI transformation for large utility client engagements. You set the vision, shape the roadmap, and are ultimately accountable for transformation outcomes.Lead utility client strategy engagements from problem definition through transformation vision and execution planning.Cultivate high-trust, high-accountability client executive relationships. These relationships are what allow our work to go deeper and deliver maximum impact.Accountable for revenue across your client portfolio, from initial scope through expansion.Responsible for sourcing and closing new client engagements against an annual revenue target. You’ll be part of the team building the pipeline and running the process.Work closely with client executive teams to envision and drive AI transformation and impact.Lead innovation workshops with client teams to educate on AI and guide the surfacing of AI opportunitiesDefine what client problem(s) that need solving and why it mattersShape the target state: what the transformation looks like by people, teams, technology, and day-to-day operationsBuild the business logic: how this creates value, what it costs, what risks existPartner with AZX project management team to scope, staff, and manage engagements from kickoff through deliveryPartner with AZX engineering team on tech/AI build to deliver customer success while informing overall AZX platform directionContribute to the growth of our client strategy practice area - new offerings, approaches, and ways of creating value for clients.Actively participate in industry events, trade shows, and speaking engagements to build AZX's presence and your ownCore QualificationsUtility industry domain knowledge - business, customer, operational, and regulatory landscape.Demonstrated ability to deliver on a revenue target, from opportunity identification to close and expansionCan develop and communicate a compelling transformation vision to a C-suite audienceBuilds trust quickly with senior client stakeholders.
