Through research, advocacy, digital organizing, and strategic communications, Higher Heights works to ensure Black women’s leadership is seen, supported, and sustained. Video storytelling is a core component of our communications strategy, helping us reach national audiences, support candidates, mobilize voters, and document the leadership of Black women across the country.Overview of Video NeedsHigher Heights is seeking an experienced freelance Video Producer and Editor to support our communications and digital programs. This is not a full-time or part-time position and is intended for an individual freelancer or independent contractor and not intended for an agency or firm. The selected producer will work closely with the Communications Department, collaborating with digital, political, and development teams to produce compelling video content across platforms. The role requires strong editorial judgment, technical skill, and the ability to meet tight deadlines, particularly during election cycles.Scope of WorkThis engagement is designed for a single freelance video producer/editor capable of supporting both routine content needs and high-priority moments. Respondents will be responsible for all taxes, insurance, and statutory obligations associated with independent contractor status.
