About the CompanyNitka Technologies develops software for customers in the US and Europe and brings together about 300 professionals from Eastern Europe, North and South America, Armenia, Georgia and Kazakhstan.Your RoleWe are looking for an experienced Data Security Engineer for a long-term project. The customer is a company in California, an industry leader in the sale of tickets to events in Europe and the USA. We are looking for a security-driven engineer with strong coding skills to join our team in strengthening cloud infrastructure and data platform security. This role emphasizes building, implementing, and automating modern security controls with a focus on AWS and Databricks environments.We offer 100% remote, full-time work with a flexible scheduleMain TasksDesign and implement security controls for cloud-native platforms with a focus on automation.Secure data platforms including Unity Catalog, cluster configurations, and access policies in Databricks.Develop and maintain security automations using Python or Scala.Automate identity and access management (IAM), token lifecycle processes, and other authentication controls.Integrate security practices into CI/CD pipelines, including Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Software Composition Analysis (SCA).RequirementsHands-on experience securing data platforms, particularly within AWS and Databricks.Deep understanding of Unity Catalog, cluster policy management, and secure cloud configurations.Proficiency in Python and/or Scala for developing security tools and scripts.Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating security processes therein.Experience with IAM, secrets management, and token-based authentication mechanisms.Spoken English (Intermediate level and higher)Working conditionsRemote workFull-time (8 hours/day)Flexible scheduleAttractive USD compensationPaid vacation, holidays
