Responsibilities:
UX/UI Website Development:
- Plan website projects and architecture.
- Design and develop custom WordPress and HubSpot websites from scratch.
- Customize existing WordPress themes and plugins to meet client requirements.
- Create HubSpot landing pages and custom modules.
Front-End Development:
- Implement responsive design principles to ensure websites are visually appealing and user-friendly across all devices and screen sizes.
Plugin Integration:
- Evaluate and integrate third-party WordPress plugins to enhance website functionality and meet client specifications.
- Develop effective, responsive designs and build them into working themes and plugins.
Theme Customization:
- Customize WordPress themes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP to achieve unique designs and layouts that align with client branding and objectives.
Content Management:
- Set up and configure WordPress and HubSpot CMS.
- Create and optimize website content.
- Train clients on how to use site dashboards for content updates and management.
- Manage all technical aspects of the CMS: connect domains/subdomains, migrate blogs to HubSpot from other CMSs.
- Support HubSpot content marketing development such as emails, blogs, forms, pages, etc.
Optimization:
- Optimize website performance, speed, and security through best practices such as caching, minification, image optimization, and security measures.
Meet Budget Client Expectations:
- Set design and technical feasibility expectations within client budget constraints.
Quality Assurance:
- Conduct thorough testing of websites to ensure cross-browser compatibility, responsiveness, and functionality across various devices and platforms.
- Identify and resolve functionality, design, and usability issues on the website and affiliated web materials.
Technical Support:
- Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for websites, addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly, or identifying opportunities for new marketing technology solutions.
Site Maintenance:
- Work within existing client websites to meet their maintenance and update needs.
- Maintain website and HubSpot content quality across accessibility, technical SEO, page speed, and content accuracy.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other team members to identify needs and develop creative solutions on websites.
- Work with client teams to understand their CMS requirements.
Stay Up to Date with Industry Trends:
- Pay attention to evolving industry trends and best practices in UI/UX design and development, and bring suggestions to our work.
Qualifications:
- Must speak, read, and write in fluent English.
- 3+ years of WordPress development experience.
- 3+ years of HubSpot development experience.
- HubL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP experience.
- Familiarity with Gutenburg theme.
- Translating Figma designs to development; ability to go from mockups to implementation.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and usability testing.
- Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
- Strong organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and follow-through.
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for aesthetics.
- Ability to consistently meet or exceed deadlines and be responsive.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate with a team.
- Has a progress-over-perfection mindset.
- Thrives in adapting dev approach to fit evolving team workflows and business needs.
Appreciated, not required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with Figma website design mockups, design, wireframing, and prototyping.
- Experience with website strategy, planning, and technical SEO.
- UX/UI Design—creating website wireframes that can translate to mockups and prototypes for a broad range of clients.
- Design experience within Illustrator.
- HubSpot Certifications: CMS for developers Part 1 & Part 2 (or similar).
- Professional experience with or knowledge of insurance, healthcare, education, food and beverage, transportation, finance, or related fields.
- Experience working with an agency.
