C.H Robinson is seeking a Software Engineer III on our Bots & Quoting Automation team where you will support customer quoting automation including API integrations, web scraping, & email automation for 1000s of customers. The primary focus will be on choosing optimal solutions to use for these purposes; then maintaining, implementing, and monitoring them. The team continues to lean into LLM powered solutions for customization and generalized solutions and you will work directly on applying these new tools to help build out a workforce that combines traditional software, ai/ml powered software, ai agents, and humans to efficiently handle the fractured and varied logistics processes for all of our customers!Responsibilities:Partner with product managers and principal software engineers to translate requirements into detailed designsPartner with data scientists and data analysts to drive performance improvements for our applicationsProactively troubleshoot applications and identify performance and availability issues providing effective options for resolutionTune performance and resolve availability issues of product or service and its dependenciesIncrease code quality through writing unit, integration, and acceptance testsCollaborate with other software engineers and teams on code reviews, development infrastructure, and process enhancementsGrow, push the boundaries and learn new things to apply to our team's workWrite clean, maintainable Python and JS codeParticipate in AGILE/SCRUM processWork directly on a product suite that drives revenue and cost-savings to the company bottom lineRequired Qualifications:5+ years of experience collaborating in a team environment shipping software (Python)Experience with automation and/or human computer-interaction (HCI) principles & designAI Native Programming – you both make use of tools like copilot and think about when to integrate LLMs into systemsProficient creating applications and features in object-oriented and functional programming environmentsWorking experience with database objects in relational databases (ex. MS SQL, Oracle, Postgres) and non-relational databases (ex. MongoDB)Proficient with GIT for version controlBachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience and a high school diploma/GEDPreferred Qualifications:Exposure developing containerized applications (Docker)Front-End (React) development/designExposure to statistics and machine learning conceptsExperience building Agentic AI systems that interact with humansWeb Scraping Experience (ex. Selenium, Playwright)You value Systems Thinking: how do different parts of the system interact with each other, queues, software components, agents, etc.Experience with monitoring tools (ex.
