Responsibilities

Juriscribe® is a legal and corporate translation company working with law firms, companies, and financial institutions on high-stakes bilingual and multilingual documentation. We are looking for a remote Bilingual Project Coordinator based in Argentina to help manage legal and corporate translation projects from intake through delivery. This is primarily a project coordination, client-service, and quality-control role, not a production translation role. However, the person must have enough Spanish-English translation competence to review work for quality, terminology, formatting, completeness, and obvious legal or linguistic issues, make limited edits when appropriate, and know when to escalate issues to a senior translator or reviser. Responsibilities: - Coordinate translation and revision projects from client request to final delivery. - Review client instructions, files, deadlines, and project requirements. - Prepare files for translators and revisers. - Assign work to translators, revisers, and other vendors. - Track deadlines and follow up proactively. - Communicate professionally with clients and vendors in English and Spanish. - Check completed work for completeness, consistency, formatting, terminology, and obvious quality issues. - Perform limited edits or corrections where appropriate. - Flag legal, linguistic, formatting, or deadline risks early. - Maintain organized files, project records, and delivery packages. - Help improve internal workflows, checklists, terminology resources, and project procedures. Requirements: - Excellent written English and Spanish (other languages a plus). - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to manage deadlines, priorities, and multiple moving parts. - Professional communication style with clients and vendors. - Experience with memoQ, Trados, or other CAT tools. - Experience with translation business management tools like Plunet. - Experience coordinating translators, editors, or freelancers. - Comfort working with Word, PDF, Excel, Outlook, and online project tools. - Ability to review Spanish-English and English-Spanish translations for basic quality-control purposes. - Good judgment about when to fix an issue directly and when to escalate it. - Reliability, discretion, and comfort working with confidential legal and corporate documents. - Prior experience in projects involving the translation of legal, corporate, and financial documentation. Clarification: - This is not principally a translator position. - The successful candidate will usually coordinate projects rather than perform full translations. - However, translation competence is important because the role includes quality control, issue spotting, terminology checks, and occasional limited editing. Work Arrangement: - Remote. - Contract role. - Part-time to start, with the possibility of expanding depending on fit and workload. - Argentina-based candidates preferred.
