The right candidate is someone who has hands-on expertise building scalable test automation frameworks, with a strong emphasis on reliability, maintainability, and rapid feedback for CI/CD pipelines.Your mission will be to design, develop, and maintain robust web automation frameworks for API and functional testing, enabling our teams to deliver high-quality cloud-native solutions. You'll work with modern tools like Playwright and collaborate closely with developers and QA teams to drive automation best practices across our projects.Your AssignmentDesign, implement, and maintain a scalable web automation framework for API and UI/functional testingDevelop test strategies, test plans, and automation suites using Playwright (Python/TypeScript) for web applicationsCreate reusable, modular page objects and components to maximize test reuse and maintainabilityImplement API testing strategies (REST/GraphQL) integrated with UI tests where appropriateWrite clear, maintainable automated tests with robust assertions and meaningful reportingIntegrate tests with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)Configure test data management, environment handling, and test environment provisioningImplement parallel test execution, flaky test handling, retry strategies, and test isolationMonitor test results, analyze failures, and provide timely root-cause analysisCollaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to ensure quality goals are metDocument framework usage, coding standards, and create comprehensive onboarding guidesStay current with automation tooling trends and propose improvements to testing infrastructureYour Qualifications3+ years of hands-on experience in web automation testingStrong proficiency with Playwright (Python/TypeScript) for end-to-end web testingDemonstrated experience building automation frameworks from the ground upProficient in Python/TypeScript with good knowledge of software design patternsExperience with API testing (REST/GraphQL) and integrating API tests with UI testsFamiliarity with test frameworks (pytest, unittest)Solid understanding of CI/CD integration and test reportingExperience with version control (Git) and collaborative workflowsStrong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsXray Test Management for Jira for integrating test plans/results with JiraBehavior-Driven Development (BDD) experience and tooling (e.g., Gherkin, Cucumber, Behave)Knowledge of performance testing fundamentalsDocker and containerized test environmentsCloud-based test environments and device/browser farmsExperience with test data management and data-driven testingPrior exposure to Agile/Scrum development processesBenefits100% remote workGenerous holidays and flexible PTOCompetitive phantom equityPaid for exams and certificationsPeer bonus awardsState of the art laptop and toolsEquipment & Office StipendIndividual professional development planAnnual stipend for Learning and DevelopmentWork with an amazing worldwide team and in an incredible corporate cultureImportant: This role requires full-time availability during UK business hours.
