Title: Senior AI-Native Engineer: Build Production Agentic Systems with Claude Code + Codex (Contract, Remote, 6–9+ months)
About us: LeadStreamAi.com builds AI systems for growing businesses. We're building a production agentic platform for a California commercial construction contractor. It finds public bids, scores Go/No-Go, extracts scope from 500+ page spec books, and assists takeoffs from construction drawings.
Who we're looking for: An engineer who builds the way things get built in 2026. You don't hand-write everything and then bolt on an AI wrapper. You direct AI coding agents, review what they produce, and ship working systems in weeks instead of quarters.
Must have:
Claude Code and OpenAI Codex as your daily tools. You use CLAUDE.md / AGENTS.md, subagents, hooks and MCP servers, and you review and test what the AI writes.
Shipped production agents: at least 2 agentic systems that run on their own (scheduled, monitored, with real users), built on the Claude Agent SDK, OpenAI Agents SDK, LangGraph or similar.
Document AI: pulling structured, page-cited data out of long, messy PDFs, with structured outputs/JSON schemas and RAG where it fits.
Evals: you measure accuracy with gold sets and eval tooling (Langfuse, Braintrust, promptfoo or similar). "It looks right" doesn't count.
Modern full stack: Python and/or TypeScript, Postgres/Supabase (pgvector), a Next.js-style dashboard, deployed to AWS/Azure/Vercel by you.
Clear English and working hours that overlap US Pacific for client calls.
Big plus: construction, AEC or estimating software (drawings, takeoff, spec books), computer vision on plans, bid-board/API integrations.
Not a fit if: your AI experience is mostly pre-LLM ML pipelines, RPA/no-code bots or ChatGPT wrappers, or you don't use AI coding agents day to day.
How it works: Phased, fixed-price milestones. Shortlisted candidates do a short paid trial: extracting key requirements from a public RFP with page citations. You work as part of the LeadStreamAi.com team, under an NDA and non-circumvention agreement.
