Compensation based on experience Work Schedule: Full-time, with flexible hours aligned to U.S. time zones NOTE: INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR POSITION Company Overview: Sagan is an exclusive membership community for top executives, founders, and CEOs seeking to hire and maximize the impact of international talent. We bridge the gap between global talent and US-based businesses, connecting candidates from vibrant regions like Latin America, the Philippines, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Africa with leading American companies. Sagan provides a high-performance remote work environment, ensuring access to world-class opportunities for top-tier professionals. About the Company: Sagan represents a leadership community of high-growth startups and established companies across industries. The team you’ll be joining supports strategic hiring decisions for founders and executives building top-performing remote teams—particularly in finance, operations, and technical roles. Position Overview: We’re hiring a Finance Solutions Advisor (Individual Contributor) to guide executive members through complex hiring and team-design decisions in the finance domain. This is a high-trust advisory role—not a recruiting or people management position. You’ll work alongside Talent Advisors to shape smart hiring strategies across CFO, FP&A, Accounting, and Controller roles. Success means helping members build finance teams that are realistic, high-performing, and aligned with business needs. Key Responsibilities: Member Advisory & Pushback: Lead high-stakes conversations with finance leaders; challenge assumptions and align on realistic hiring requirements, timelines, and trade-offs. Quality Control: Review complex finance role requests and approve Job Description recommendations from Talent Advisors. Category Ownership: Host fine-tuning sessions and drive improvements in sourcing, screening, interviewing, and assessment for finance roles. Projects & Automation: Lead initiatives like playbooks, rubrics, automations, or dashboards that improve quality and speed in the hiring process. Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with internal and external teams to develop finance-specific tools, solutions, and systems. Qualifications: 2–5+ years in investment banking, corporate finance/FP&A, transaction services, audit/assurance, or similar. Strong finance fluency and business judgment. Executive presence: able to say “no” diplomatically and redirect toward productive solutions. Experience managing projects end-to-end, ideally as an independent contributor. Ability to translate complex finance concepts into hiring criteria and evaluation tools. Nice-to-Haves: Exposure to interviewing or hiring finance professionals. Experience developing scorecards, rubrics, or hiring frameworks. Background in improving processes or light automation for decision support.
