About the Role Are you an experienced healthcare virtual assistant looking for a long-term opportunity with a growing U.S. medical practice? We are hiring a Virtual Assistant – Healthcare Receptionist & Billing Specialist to join our remote team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in U.S. medical billing, insurance verification, and patient communication. Responsibilities Reception & Scheduling - Answer and manage incoming patient phone calls. - Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments. - Manage provider calendars and send reminders. - Provide compassionate and professional patient support. Insurance Verification - Verify patient eligibility and benefits with insurance companies. - Record accurate insurance information in the system. - Communicate coverage details to patients. Medical Billing - Prepare and submit insurance and patient billing claims. - Review and correct billing details. - Process payments and send patient invoices. Claims Management - Submit and track claims with insurance providers. - Handle rejections, denials, and follow-ups until resolution. - Maintain detailed records of claim status. Requirements - Minimum 1 year of experience as a virtual assistant or staff in a U.S. healthcare setting. - Strong knowledge of insurance verification, billing, and claims. - Experience using EHR/billing software. - Fluent in spoken and written English. - Strong communication and organizational skills. - Must have reliable internet and quiet work environment. - Able to work during U.S. business hours.
