Requirements and responsibilities

Infrastructure project originator: Sustainability Partners (SP) invests in the modernization of infrastructure. Organizations everywhere have difficulty implementing and financing high-impact efficiency solutions, but Sustainability Partners has the answer. SP is solving the \$4T crisis of deferred maintenance with its simple, utility-structured solution: Infrastructure as a Utility Service®. Like a utility, we work behind the scenes to provide new infrastructure and keep it operating at peak performance. We are looking for “A” caliber team players—innovative doers and results-driven relationship builders committed to the vision and mission of SP as we rapidly scale our business to meet the growing demands of the market. Job description: We are seeking a dynamic Infrastructure Project Originator based in Florida to accelerate our growth by identifying, cultivating, and closing high-value infrastructure modernization opportunities with public and private sector organizations. This is a hybrid role with extensive relationship-building responsibilities across the state, requiring a strong network, a strategic mindset, and an unstoppable drive to deliver results. The Originator will be the face of SP in Florida—engaging with decision-makers, uncovering opportunities, and guiding them through the value of our Infrastructure as a Utility Service® model. We are looking for someone who: • Is self-motivated, resilient, and committed to seeing initiatives through. • Is trustworthy, honest, and takes pride in detailed execution. • Brings confidence and energy to conversations, without arrogance. • Has a collaborative, team-first mindset and communicates clearly. • Understands that rejection is part of the process and perseveres anyway. • Has a natural ability to connect with people and is well-spoken. • Enjoys competition but never at the expense of values or trust. • Can think outside the box to make complex projects a reality. • Has experience bringing multiple stakeholders together solving for funding, legal, political, operational, and technological considerations. • Understands and respects local or regional cultural considerations when working with communities. Responsibilities include: • Identify and pursue high-value infrastructure modernization opportunities across Florida. • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in municipalities, school districts, universities, healthcare systems, and other target sectors. • Leverage personal and professional networks to generate warm introductions and expand SP’s reach. • Lead client conversations from initial engagement to closing agreements, working closely with internal development and operations teams. • Understand client challenges, present tailored solutions, and navigate complex decision-making processes. • Represent SP at conferences, industry events, and strategic networking opportunities across the state. • Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects and provide regular updates on progress and forecasts. • Collaborate with marketing and leadership to refine messaging and outreach strategies for the Florida market. Qualifications: • Reside in Florida. • Proven track record of driving significant new business and closing large, complex deals. • 7+ years of experience in business development, strategic sales, or relationship management (infrastructure, construction, energy, or related industries preferred). • Strong network of executive-level contacts in public sector, institutional, or large private organizations within Florida. • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire trust and build long-term partnerships. • Highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a performance-driven, mission-focused environment. • Strong presentation and negotiation skills with the ability to articulate complex solutions clearly. • Willingness to travel extensively throughout Florida to meet clients and attend events. Job Type: Full-time. Pay: Competitive base salary plus performance-based incentives. Benefits: • Health insurance. • Dental insurance. • Vision insurance. • Work Location: Hybrid.
