Requirements and responsibilities


Responsibilities • Own major features and architecture end-to-end on the core platform • Design, build, and maintain full-stack features powering core customer workflows • Lead key components of the product roadmap from technical design through production deployment • Raise the bar on architecture, code quality, and engineering standards • Develop and maintain backend services and APIs integrating with third-party systems and payment infrastructure • Build user-facing interfaces and internal tools • Refine SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows • Own and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, including containerized and orchestrated services • Contribute to high-leverage architectural decisions as the platform scales • Mentor other engineers and support production debugging, performance tuning, and reliability Requirements • 8+ years building production web applications (full-stack or backend-leaning) • 5+ years professional Python experience and 5+ years with Django (DRF a plus) • Solid experience with React and Redux • Strong SQL and PostgreSQL fundamentals • Experience designing and consuming APIs and third-party integrations • Hands-on experience operating services on AWS (Terraform a plus) • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Celery, GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines • Track record debugging production issues and improving performance/reliability • Comfortable setting technical direction and leading roadmap components end-to-end • Strong ownership and clear communication; able to mentor teammates • Based in or near New York City for hybrid office attendance • US Citizen or existing visa holder (no sponsorship provided)
