Netrix Global is seeking a Cloud Engineer to implement and support our private cloud infrastructure across multiple data centers. This role is heavily focused on VMware-based environments, with additional exposure to alternative virtualization platforms and modern infrastructure technologies.The ideal candidate is hands-on, understands how core infrastructure components (compute, storage, networking, backup) interact, and can troubleshoot complex issues across the stack. This is not a siloed role—we need someone who can operate end-to-end in a multi-tenant production environment, work independently, and adapt quickly while approaching problems with a practical, solution-oriented mindset.How You Will Make an ImpactDesign, deploy, and maintain virtualized infrastructure platformsSupport and optimize compute, storage, and backup systemsTroubleshoot performance, availability, and capacity issues across the environmentCollaborate with internal teams on migrations, upgrades, and client onboardingEnsure reliability, scalability, and security of cloud servicesBuild and maintain VMware-based environments (vSphere, ESXi, related ecosystem)Support and manage converged/hyperconverged platforms (Cisco UCS, Dell VxRail, Cisco HyperFlex)Design and manage storage solutions, including:Fibre Channel and iSCSI architecturesZoning and fabric designBlock, file, and object storageData reduction technologies (deduplication, compression)Snapshots, replication, and recovery strategiesPerform capacity planning and performance tuning across compute and storage layersTroubleshoot complex infrastructure issues spanning virtualization, storage, and networkingSupport backup and disaster recovery solutions and ensure recoverability of workloadsParticipate in infrastructure migrations, including potential platform transitions (e.g., VMware to alternatives)Document configurations, processes, and runbooksParticipate in a rotating on-call schedule (approximately one full week every 3–4 weeks) to support production environments and respond to critical incidentsFlexibility in working hours, including occasional after-hours or weekend work, to support maintenance activities, deployments, or incident responseWhat You Will Bring to The TableStrong hands-on experience with VMware (vSphere / ESXi, VMware Cloud Director, and NSX-T) in production environmentsExperience with enterprise compute platforms (Cisco UCS, Dell VxRail, HyperFlex)Deep understanding of storage architecture, including:Fibre Channel and/or iSCSIZoning and SAN designBlock and file storage systems (e.g., PowerScale/Isilon, CIFS/SMB)Replication, snapshots, and data lifecycle managementProven ability to troubleshoot performance and stability issues across infrastructure layersExperience with capacity planning and infrastructure optimizationAbility to operate effectively in production, multi-tenant environmentsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a practical, solution-oriented approachProven ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive issues through resolutionStrong working knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory, including administration, troubleshooting, and integration with enterprise infrastructure services (authentication, DNS, Group Policy)Experience with backup and recovery platforms:VeeamDell EMC IDPA / Avamar / PowerProtectVMware Cloud Director AvailabilityFamiliarity with XenServer (Citrix Hypervisor)Working knowledge of Hyper-V environments, especially System Center VMMExposure to object storage platformsExperience in multi-tenant or service provider environmentsScripting/automation experience (PowerShell preferred)Working knowledge of Linux-based operating systems, including CLI usage and basic troubleshooting of system, networking, and service-related issuesShift: Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM CT, US Business hours (Central) with on-call participation.
