Requirements and responsibilities


Role Overview We are seeking a Project Lead to develop and manage single-family residential projects from concept through completion, balancing design excellence, project management, and strong leadership. The role will focus on design (across various aesthetics types) and client relationships. The ideal candidate is highly organized, deeply design-driven, and proactive, with a strong ability to problem-solve, innovate, and take initiative within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role is positioned as the design lead and client-facing PM throughout the life of the project. The Project Lead will coordinate closely with and support the Project Architect who will lead the documentation of the project and by positioned as the consultant-facing PM. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and manage the design phase and assist support through documentation and production * Initial due-diligence, design within client/budget/constructibility/city guidelines, develop design packages, present to client, manage consultants * Maintain a clear understanding of project schedules, budgets, and deliverables * Coordinate effectively with internal teams and external collaborators * Work on multiple projects with flexibility, resourcefulness, and strong problem-solving skills * Supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring quality control and efficient workflow Qualifications: * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution 7-10 years of professional experience working on custom single-family residential projects (ideally in Los Angeles) * Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Bluebeam * Expertise in residential design, architectural detailing, and technical delivery * Strong communication and team leadership skills, especially when working with junior staff and outside consultants
