ProtopVA Community is excited to announce a new job opportunity for the Part-Time Bookkeeper and Accounts Receivable Specialist position. Schedule and pay rate: • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10am - 2pm EST. • Hours: 20 hours per week. • Time Zone: Eastern Standard Time. • Languages Required: English. • Open to: Philippines and LATAM. • Pay Rate: \$9-\$10/hr. *Rates are dependent on your experience and skills, determined by ProtopVA.* Responsibilities: Accounts Receivable • Generate and send invoices accurately and on schedule • Monitor receivables and maintain AR Aging Reports • Follow up on overdue payments via phone, email, or automated reminders. • Set up payment plans when necessary and track compliance. • Apply client payments • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or payment disputes. • Maintain clean and updated client billing profiles. • Collaborate with sales/account managers for billing clarifications or disputes. • Report on expected vs. received revenue Bookkeeping • Record all daily financial transactions accurately • Maintain general ledger, accounts, and journal entries. • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, PayPal/Stripe, and merchant processors. • Categorize all transactions according to the company’s chart of accounts. • Track recurring expenses, subscriptions, and vendor payments. • Support payroll recording • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements • Maintain vendor records Requirements: * 1–2+ years of experience in bookkeeping and accounts receivable. * Strong communication skills (email, phone, client-facing). * Must be organized, detail-oriented, and proactive. * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment. * Tech-savvy and computer literate (able to learn systems/software quickly). * Friendly, approachable, and empathetic when communicating with clients. * Strong customer service orientation.
