- Moniepoint is a pan-African payments business and banking platform - Partner of choice for over 1m businesses of all sizes - Nigeria's largest business payments platform, processing over $1 billion in transaction value per day - Fully remote tech company with a diverse workforce worldwide We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to manage the financial information of a specific business unit and work with the relevant business leaders to maximize the performance of the business. The ideal candidate will possess the required skills and experience and a very strong attention to detail. The responsibilities include preparing management accounts, maintaining and improving processes, identifying and resolving financial weaknesses, preparing forecasts, and supporting the business leader with the preparation of the annual business unit plan. The candidate should be a qualified accountant with a management accounting background, possess great communication skills, have good commercial awareness, and a track record of working directly with commercial colleagues. A Bachelor's Degree in accounting/finance, detail-oriented & self-sufficient, excellent Excel skills, and FP&A experience are preferred. Basic knowledge of SQL is also preferred. Responsibilities: - Prepare management accounts and related KPI documentation for your business unit, including monthly profit & loss account with analysis and commentary, balance sheet extracts and reconciliations. - Continually review, maintain, and improve processes, cash collection, purchase orders and ledger postings against budget/forecasts. - Identify and resolve any areas of financial weakness within the business unit in a timely manner. - Collate challenging, realistic, rolling, three-monthly Profit & Loss forecasts together with annual expectations based on the latest available management information. - Support the Business Leader with the preparation of the annual business unit plan in conjunction with the relevant commercial leaders. - Prepare cost-benefit reports and pro-active analytical works to facilitate continuous improvement of the business unit's performance. - Fully comprehend the financial and commercial details of the business units activities to ensure optimal performance and risk management.
