We bridge hard analytics with strategic trading, pressure-testing new DL models and LLM-powered workflows in market, turning field learnings into scalable playbooks and product feedback.About The RoleAs a Campaign Strategist, you’ll be the analytical engine behind high-performing campaigns. You’ll translate massive datasets into clear decisions, pilot new DL/LLM features, and partner with Client Success, Data Science, and Ad Ops to deliver results across display, OLV, CTV, and emerging channels. Your work will improve client outcomes and our product roadmap. We value in-person collaboration and operate on a hybrid schedule. This position is based in our New York City, NY office with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.Core Responsibilities:Operate & Optimize (End-to-End)Monitor pacing, delivery, and performance daily; own QA (pixels/tags, model params, supply lists), discrepancy resolution, and change logs.Establish optimization plans that map to client business metrics (CPA/ROAS/LTV, not just media KPIs).Analytics, Experimentation & InsightsDiagnose bidding behavior and auction dynamics using SQL (and Python when needed) across billions of log rows; separate signal from noise.Design/run tests (A/B, multi-cell, geo-holdout); publish succinct read-outs with recommendations and next steps.Build dashboards/scorecards (Tableau/Looker/Sheets) that make complex data legible to technical and non-technical partners.DL/LLM Collaboration & Product FeedbackPilot deep-learning optimizers (e.g., CTR/VCR/CPA models, pacing/autotuner) and LLM workflows (brief → topics → inclusion lists; rationale summaries).Document field results and translate into product requirements (signals, guardrails, eval metrics) with Data Science & Product.Process, Tooling & ReliabilityHelp build the campaign operating system: RACI, runbooks, QA checklists, alerting (pacing/spend anomalies, model drift), experiment registry, reporting standards.Identify automation opportunities; partner with Eng/Ops to ship scripts/tools that improve speed, accuracy, and repeatability.Partner Communication & QBR SupportCommunicate insights clearly to CS, Ad Ops, and DS; contribute to client-facing performance narratives and QBRs with actionable recommendations.Requirements:BS/BA in a quantitative field.3-5 years experience in analytics roles, preferably within AdTech or programmatic media environments.Advanced proficiency with SQL, including complex queries, optimization, and joins.Strong analytical skills and comfort with interpreting large-scale data sets (billions/trillions of rows).Demonstrated ability to communicate complex analytical insights effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.Solid understanding of statistical methods and experimentation frameworks.Experience with visualization tools like Tableau and proficiency in creating data pipelines.Preferred Qualifications:Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages.Familiarity with predictive analytics, machine learning, and experimentation methodologies.Experience with distributed SQL technologies and handling large-scale log data.Knowledge of online marketing analytics and DSP bidding algorithms.Advanced degree in analytics, statistics, data science, or related technical field.Ideal Candidate:You are a proactive problem-solver with a passion for data-driven decision-making and campaign excellence. You thrive in dynamic environments, combining analytical rigor with strategic insight to deliver measurable business outcomes.Salary$110,000-$130,000 Base Salary + EquityClosing DescriptionActual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to job-related knowledge, level of relevant experience, education and skills. Base salary is just one component of your total rewards package at Cognitiv. Employees are eligible for equity and various benefits.
