This individual will lead the strategy and execution of credit risk and pricing for our auto-secured lending products, owning all aspects of product eligibility, pricing, underwriting, and risk-return optimization.This highly visible role will work cross-functionally with senior stakeholders and drive product innovation, conversion improvement, customer experience enhancements, and investor returns. The role is both strategic and hands-on — requiring an executive mindset with the ability to roll up sleeves and dive into data.ResponsibilitiesLead development and optimization of credit and pricing strategies for auto-secured personal loans, including:Credit policy and underwriting criteriaPricing structure, APR optimization, and elasticity modelingFee structure, loan amount sizing, verification, and fraud mitigationDesign and execute test/control strategies (champion/challenger) to validate underwriting and pricing performanceAnalyze portfolio trends, vintage performance, and external benchmarks to inform strategic shiftsPartner with Decision Science to develop, enhance, and implement risk and pricing modelsMaintain investor return targets in dynamic economic conditionsPresent business cases, performance updates, and strategy recommendations to the C-suite and capital partnersCollaborate with Product, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Capital Markets to drive enterprise-wide initiativesLead a high-performing team with a focus on coaching, mentorship, and developmentQualificationsExperience & Technical Skills10+ years of experience in financial services with a focus on credit risk, pricing, and product strategyMust have direct to consumer experience in near-prime/sub-prime auto lending (e.g., secured personal loans or traditional auto loans)Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, etc.); Master’s degree a plusExpertise in analytical tools and data analysis (Excel required; Python strongly preferred; SQL, SAS or R)Deep understanding of credit bureau data, alternative data, pricing elasticity, and risk modelingLeadership & CommunicationDemonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive cross-functional initiativesComfortable working in ambiguous, high-growth environmentsExperience managing or mentoring a team of analysts or strategistsExecutive presence with excellent verbal and written communication skillsCultural FitStrong bias for action and data-driven decision makingWillingness to challenge the status quo and explore creative approachesBelief in collective ownership, transparency, and continuous learningThrives in fast-paced, performance-oriented environmentsSalary Range$230,000 - $245,000 a yearIn addition to semi-monthly salary payments, this position is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance. Yearly incentive bonus target 30% of base salary.
