You are a master of implementation and strategic thinking and can put yourself in a customer’s shoes to understand what motivates them to purchase. In this role, you will be responsible for building, testing, and improving the site to drive growth. The Senior Webflow Developer & CRO Specialist will work closely with design, brand, and growth to continuously improve our online experience.You'll be deep in Webflow every day, translating designs into high-fidelity pages, running experiments, and continuously finding ways to improve conversion performance. You take pride in clean, precise implementation and you bring a CRO mindset to everything you build — not just executing what you're told, but identifying what to test and why.What you'll do:Website Development & Webflow OwnershipOwn the implementation and ongoing maintenance of our Webflow-hosted websiteWork directly with design to build engaging web contentBuild systematic, reusable components aligned with our design systemEnsure pages are responsive, fast, and production-ready across all devicesSupport landing pages, redesigns, and iterative improvementsEnsure pages are properly structured for search engine crawlability and indexing (meta tags, page hierarchy, schema basics)CRO Strategy & ExperimentationOwn the CRO experimentation roadmap — identifying opportunities, forming hypotheses, and prioritizing testsImplement A/B tests and CRO experiments end-to-endEnsure test variants are isolated, stable, and correctly deployedValidate that experiment events and conversion tracking fire correctlyAnalyze results, draw conclusions, and iteratePerformance Monitoring & QAMonitor page performance, usability, and conversion behaviorCatch issues and regressions before they become problemsMaintain high-quality standards for everything that shipsCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Growth to align experimentation priorities with business goalsCollaborate closely with Design to bring their vision to life accuratelyCommunicate tradeoffs and constraints clearlyWhat We're Looking For:3–6 years of hands-on Webflow experience — you can build complex, scalable pages with confidence and speedExperience in conversion rate optimization, growth, digital product optimization, or related performance marketing roles, ideally within eCommerce or mobile environmentsStrong analytical foundation with hands-on experience designing, launching, and analyzing A/B and multivariate testsDemonstrated success improving conversion rate, revenue per visitor, average order value, or other core performance metricsProficiency with experimentation platforms (e.g., Optimizely, VWO, Adobe Target) and analytics tools (e.g., GA4, Amplitude, Mixpanel)Experience optimizing high-traffic eCommerce websites or mobile applications preferredExposure to UX research methodologies and the ability to translate insights into testable hypotheses are preferredFamiliarity with personalization strategies, segmentation, and AI-driven optimization techniques preferred.How You'll Be Measured:Execution Quality: Pages ship fast, look right, and perform well in productionExperimentation: Tests are well-reasoned, cleanly implemented, and producing real learningsSite Health: Pages are fast, properly structured, and technically soundEqual Employment OpportunityShort Story is committed to providing equal employment opportunity and a work environment free of discrimination and harassment for all employees and applicants.
