Requirements and responsibilities


### Overview We are looking for a Frontend Developer to own the user interface of our platform. You will translate designs into polished, performant React applications. You will work closely with design and backend to create an exceptional user experience for data-rich dashboards and analysis tools. ### Responsibilities Core Development (70%) - Build responsive, accessible UI components in React/TypeScript. - Implement pixel-perfect designs from Figma. - Create reusable component libraries. - Manage complex application state. - Integrate with REST APIs. - Handle file uploads, video players, and media components. - Implement data visualizations (charts, maps, graphs). - Write unit and integration tests. Collaboration (20%) - Work with designers to refine UX and interactions. - Collaborate with backend on API contracts. - Participate in code reviews. - Contribute to technical documentation. Quality & Performance (10%) - Optimize for performance (Core Web Vitals). - Ensure cross-browser compatibility. - Implement error handling and loading states. - Maintain accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA). ### Requirements Must Have: - 3+ years of professional frontend development. - Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript. - Experience with modern CSS (Tailwind, CSS-in-JS, or similar). - Experience consuming REST APIs. - Understanding of responsive design principles. - Experience with Git version control. - Good eye for UI/UX details. - Comfortable working in English (written and verbal). - Overlap with US Eastern time zone (at least 4 hours). Strong Preference: - Experience with Next.js. - Experience with Tailwind CSS specifically. - Experience with data visualization (Chart.js, D3, Recharts). - Experience with video/media handling in web apps. - Experience with component libraries (Radix, Headless UI). - Experience with testing (Jest, React Testing Library). - Experience with Figma. Nice to Have: - Animation/interaction design skills (Framer Motion). - Experience with map visualizations. - Experience with form libraries (React Hook Form). - Experience with state management (Zustand, Redux). - Portfolio of complex dashboard/data UI work.
