Responsibilities

Growth Marketing Manager (Remote, Contract-to-Hire) About the role We're a US-based background screening company with an online self-serve product, and we're hiring someone to own our paid acquisition funnel end to end. This is not a "run the campaigns" job. We want a diagnostician: someone who looks at the whole path from ad to landing page to signup to first order, finds where people drop off, figures out why, and fixes it. What you'll do Build a deliberate growth strategy for our product lines, starting with taking one of our funnels to the conversion reliability another already has Monitor the full funnel continuously, catch drift early, and report findings back to the founders with clear recommendations Review customer support and inbound sales calls for friction signals that ad metrics won't show Run and optimize Google Ads as one channel within that funnel Use Claude and other AI tools daily to do more analysis, testing and iteration than a larger team could What we're looking for Hands-on experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT or similar) in your daily marketing work, which we'll test in the interview A track record of finding root causes rather than patching symptoms Strong analytical skills and a systems mindset: you can hold a whole funnel in your head Solid Google Ads experience, ideally within a broader funnel or growth role, not pure campaign execution Comfort with ambiguity and early-stage work with no fixed playbook Fluent written and spoken English, and availability overlapping US Eastern business hours How it works Fully remote. We start with a paid 1–3 month contract with a real first project, diagnosing why one of our funnels underperforms, with a path to a long-term role if it goes well.
