Healthcare Credentialing & Social Media Marketing Specialist
Clinical Laboratory Services | Business Development & Government Contracting
Chemisys Laboratories is seeking a highly organized, creative, and proactive Healthcare Credentialing & Social Media Marketing Specialist to support the continued growth of our clinical laboratory.
The two primary focuses of this position will be medical insurance credentialing/payer enrollment and social media marketing and digital brand development. The position will also assist with identifying and pursuing government contracting opportunities related to laboratory and healthcare services.
We are looking for a self-starter who combines strong administrative and research abilities with creativity and an understanding of how to build a professional organization's presence through social media.
Priority #1: Medical Insurance Credentialing & Payer Enrollment
A primary responsibility of this position will be expanding and maintaining the laboratory's relationships with commercial and government healthcare payers.
Responsibilities include:
Research and identify insurance networks and payer opportunities appropriate for the laboratory.
Manage applications for commercial insurance credentialing and payer enrollment.
Assist with Medicare and Medicaid enrollment, revalidation, and related requirements.
Research and pursue opportunities for the laboratory to become participating or in-network with additional health plans.
Communicate directly with insurance companies, network representatives, and credentialing departments.
Track credentialing applications from initial submission through approval and contracting.
Maintain detailed records of applications, contracts, effective dates, renewals, recredentialing requirements, and outstanding documentation.
Consistently follow up with payers regarding pending applications and contracting opportunities.
Work with CAQH, PECOS, NPPES/NPI, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer portals as applicable.
Research credentialing and enrollment requirements specific to independent clinical laboratories.
Coordinate required documentation with management, billing, compliance, and other departments.
Develop and maintain an organized, scalable system for managing payer relationships and credentialing across multiple states.
Previous medical insurance credentialing, payer enrollment, provider relations, or healthcare contracting experience is strongly preferred. Clinical laboratory credentialing experience is particularly valuable.
Priority #2: Social Media Marketing & Brand Development
A major component of this position will be taking an active role in developing and managing Chemisys Laboratories' social media presence and digital brand.
We are looking for someone who understands that social media in a healthcare and B2B environment should do more than simply generate posts. The goal is to build credibility, increase brand awareness, educate our audience, create engagement, and ultimately generate new relationships and business opportunities.
Responsibilities include:
Help develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy for the company.
Manage the company's presence on LinkedIn and other relevant social media platforms.
Develop a consistent social media content calendar.
Create, coordinate, and publish engaging social media content.
Develop educational content highlighting laboratory services, healthcare trends, industry information, company initiatives, and educational programs.
Create or coordinate graphics, short-form video, photos, educational posts, and other digital content.
Help establish a consistent and professional brand voice across social platforms.
Grow the company's followers and engagement with relevant healthcare professionals and organizations.
Identify and connect with potential customers, referral sources, healthcare organizations, and industry professionals through social media.
Use LinkedIn strategically for B2B relationship development and lead generation.
Promote company educational events, webinars, new services, partnerships, and announcements.
Monitor comments, messages, engagement, and relevant industry conversations.
Track social media performance, including reach, engagement, audience growth, leads, and other meaningful metrics.
Identify successful content and continuously adjust the strategy based on results.
Research competitors and other successful healthcare/laboratory organizations to identify opportunities and best practices.
Assist with paid social media advertising and targeted campaigns when appropriate.
Ensure social media content is appropriate for a healthcare environment and does not improperly disclose patient or protected health information.
Experience with LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, short-form video, Canva or similar content-creation platforms, social media scheduling tools, analytics, and B2B social media marketing is strongly preferred.
Experience marketing healthcare, clinical laboratory, behavioral health, medical, or other professional B2B services is an exceptional plus.
Priority #3: Government Contracting & Public-Sector Opportunities
The position will also research and help develop government and public-sector opportunities for the laboratory.
Responsibilities include:
Research federal, state, county, municipal, VA, correctional, behavioral health, and public-health contracting opportunities.
Monitor SAM.gov, state procurement systems, government bid portals, and other procurement databases.
Identify RFPs, RFQs, solicitations, and subcontracting opportunities involving clinical laboratory testing, toxicology, drug testing, behavioral health, diagnostic testing, and related healthcare services.
Review opportunities and summarize requirements, deadlines, qualifications, and potential value for management.
Maintain an organized pipeline of relevant government opportunities.
Assist with RFP/RFQ responses, capability statements, registrations, and required documentation.
Research existing government contracts, incumbents, award information, expiration dates, and future opportunities.
Identify potential subcontracting and teaming opportunities.
Previous government-contracting experience is beneficial but is secondary to healthcare credentialing and social media marketing experience.
Additional Business Development & Administrative Responsibilities
Conduct online research to identify prospective customers and business opportunities.
Develop and maintain targeted prospect lists.
Assist with CRM organization and lead tracking.
Support email campaigns and other digital outreach.
Maintain organized systems for credentialing, marketing, and business-development projects.
Prepare spreadsheets, reports, presentations, and management summaries.
Assist management with special projects and new business initiatives.
Utilize AI and modern productivity tools to improve research, content development, organization, and workflow efficiency.

Ultimately, this individual should become a key internal resource for insurance credentialing, social media growth, and business development while helping us create systems that can continue to scale as the company grows.
