Responsibilities

Company Overview: - Carbon Real Estate Investments, or Carbon REI, is a private equity real estate investment firm focused on multifamily assets across the Southeast United States. - We own and operate more than 2,500 units across Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Arkansas, and Texas, and our portfolio is actively growing. - We combine institutional discipline with an owner operator's ground level view of every asset we hold. - That perspective shapes how we invest, how we communicate with our investor base, and how we show up in the wider commercial real estate conversation. Role Overview: - Carbon REI is scaling a content platform anchored by our Chief Investment Officer, Michael Pouliot, CFA, CAIA, who hosts the Deal Flow Podcast, a show on capital, deals, and AI in commercial real estate. - The podcast, our newsletter, and Michael's LinkedIn presence together form the engine that reaches operators, allocators, and institutional investors across the country. - You will build and run the production side of that engine. - Podcast editing and publishing, short form clip distribution, newsletter writing, LinkedIn ghostwriting, and content library architecture all sit with you. - This is a hands on role for someone who wants to own an executive facing content system end to end. - You will be joining a marketing organization that already has its footing, and your job is to give the content engine the horsepower it needs to run at cadence. Core Responsibilities: Deal Flow Podcast production: - Edit raw recordings into publish ready episodes, currently three per week and growing to five. - Maintain a rolling publishing backlog. - We record ahead of publish. - Cut short form clips from every episode for LinkedIn and other social distribution, minimum three per episode. - Write episode titles, descriptions, show notes, and timestamps optimized for SEO and platform discovery. - Publish episodes across Spotify, YouTube, Apple Podcasts, and any additional platforms. - Create guest promotional assets, including share graphics, quote cards, and pre-formatted posts guests can share. - Build and maintain a content library taxonomy that tags every episode by guest firm, asset class, topic, and airing date. - Over time this library becomes a compounding asset the team can pull from, and you are expected to actively mine it, not just file into it. Core Responsibilities: Newsletter: - Own the Carbon REI newsletter end to end. - Write, produce, and publish every issue. - Repurpose podcast content, market observations, and portfolio insights into newsletter format. - Synthesize ideas across multiple episodes and sources into a single coherent issue, not summarizing one episode at a time. - Optimize for open rates and click throughs, and iterate on subject lines, sending times, and format based on real engagement data. Core Responsibilities: LinkedIn content and thought leadership: - Draft LinkedIn posts for Michael Pouliot's personal account, minimum three per week. - Posts must fit an operator to operator voice: direct, market aware, and free of marketing fluff. - Draft occasional LinkedIn content for Cody Littlewood and other principals as needed. - Distribute podcast clips and newsletter highlights across LinkedIn. - Support light community management on principal accounts in coordination with Andres. Core Responsibilities: Content library and asset management: - Maintain organized asset libraries in Google Drive, Metricool, and the podcast platform. - Tag and archive every asset produced. - Support Andres on ad hoc content needs for webinars, investor events, and portfolio milestones. Must-Have Qualifications: - 3 plus years of hands on content production experience in B2B, ideally in real estate, financial services, SaaS, or professional services. - Professional English fluency, capable of writing publish ready B2B content without editing. - Demonstrated ability to synthesize across multiple sources, not only execute on a single asset at a time. - You should be able to identify a throughline across several podcast episodes or data points and turn it into one clear piece of content. - Proven video and podcast editing skills. - Familiarity with Descript, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent. - Proven graphics creation and editing skills. - Familiarity with Canva, Claude Design, Adobe Photoshop, Figma, or related software. - Strong copywriting skills, especially for LinkedIn and newsletter formats. - Experience managing a content calendar across multiple channels and multiple contributors. - Working knowledge of social analytics tools, including Metricool, native LinkedIn analytics, and YouTube Studio. - Experience working with AI tools and automation processes. - Time management and self direction. - You will operate remotely with async oversight. Nice-to-Have Qualifications: - Background in commercial real estate, private equity, or institutional investing. - Experience producing a business podcast at three plus episodes per week. - Familiarity with HubSpot as a content and CRM system. - Working proficiency with AI content tools, such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Perplexity, as part of a production workflow. - Basic design skills in Canva, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite for social graphics. - SEO fundamentals for podcast and video content. - Prior experience ghostwriting for named executives or founders. Writing Principles: - We write like operators, not vendors. - Direct, market aware, and specific. - We never write in generic marketing voice. - We plant credibility, we do not sell. - Content shows what we see and how we think. - Sales conversations happen in sales conversations. - We respect the reader's time. - Short, useful, and specific beats long and vague every time. - Multifamily is our proof, not our only market. - Our audience spans commercial real estate broadly. - Content should feel relevant to an office or industrial asset manager as much as to a multifamily owner. - We do not use reassurance language. - No not a pitch, no no strings attached, no won't take much of your time. - Peers do not reassure each other. - They just talk. Logistics: - Remote first, working hours aligned with US Central Time, 7 AM to 4 PM. - Full time contractor status, invoiced monthly, paid in USD. - Reports to Andres Cueto, Marketing Director, based in Guadalajara, Mexico. - Slack, Google Workspace, Asana, HubSpot, Metricool, Webflow, and Descript are our stack.
