You will be employed by Lyra Clinical Associates.About the RoleLyra Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced part-time psychiatrist to provide crucial psychiatric support to the following virtual high acuity care services: Lyra’s Pediatric virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (vIOP) for young people ages 7 to 25Lyra’s Dialectical Behavior Therapy program for adults and teensLyra Renew is our substance use disorder (SUD) program for adults This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative team, delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to individuals in a virtual group setting. As a part-time High Acuity Care psychiatrist, you will collaborate closely with therapists and other members of the care team to provide comprehensive and integrated treatment.ResponsibilitiesProvide psychiatric evaluations: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for child, teen, and/or adult individuals participating in Lyra’s high acuity care services to establish diagnoses and inform treatment planning.Medication management: Provide expert psychopharmacological management, including prescribing and monitoring medications, psychoeducation about medications, and collaborating with patients on medication-related decisions.Collaborate on treatment planning: Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute to the development and implementation of holistic treatment plans for high acuity participants.Offer consultation to therapists: Provide clinical consultation to high acuity therapists regarding complex cases, diagnostic considerations, and medication-related issues.Conduct brief individual follow-up appointments: Provide brief, focused follow-up appointments with high acuity participants, as needed, for medication management and to monitor treatment progress.Maintain accurate documentation: Ensure timely and accurate completion of all psychiatric documentation, including evaluation reports, medication charts, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with Lyra's policies and procedures.Adhere to ethical and legal standards: Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards of conduct and adhere to all applicable state and federal laws and regulations, including HIPAA.Utilize technology effectively: Demonstrate comfort and proficiency in using telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHRs) for virtual care delivery and documentation.Participate in quality improvement initiatives: Contribute to the ongoing evaluation and improvement of the Lyra’s high acuity care programs.QualificationsBoard certified MD or DO in psychiatry, ABPN Current unrestricted license to practice medicine within the United States (priority given for IMLC licensure, IMLC issuing states, and states prioritized based on operational needs)Willingness to obtain cross-licensing in additional states as needed to support program growthLeadership experience with a strong background in teaching and collaborating with colleaguesStrong administrative and organizational skillsEager to deliver collaborative mental health care and direct patient careExperience managing risk and responding to clinical crisesExperience providing telehealth services in a virtual environment preferred but not requiredComputer and live video tools literacy (e.g., Zoom, Google Meets, DoxyMe, Skype, etc.)Available to work part-time, approximately 24 hours per weekAvailability to work afternoon and evening weekday hours (11am-8pm Pacific Time) preferred Potential opportunity to work SaturdaysFull-time resident of the United StatesAs a part-time (W-2) Psychiatrist - High Acuity Care, you will be employed by Lyra Clinical Associates P.C. The base rate is determined by role and level, and the base rate will depend on a number of job-related factors, including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
