This role will work directly with customer and cross-functional teams to understand complex AI infrastructure requirements, define solutions, and drive execution from early discovery through deployment and production readiness.The ideal candidate combines strong customer-facing product leadership with deep technical knowledge across GPU compute, storage, networking, cluster orchestration, and large-scale AI workload infrastructure. They will act as a trusted product partner in Vultr’s most important AI infrastructure engagements, translating customer requirements into clear product priorities, technical specifications, and executable engineering plans.Key ResponsibilitiesLead product engagement and requirements discovery for Vultr’s most strategic AI infrastructure customersOwn the discovery and definition of customer requirements for AI infrastructure use cases, including training, inference, GPU clusters, bare metal, managed orchestration, networking, and storageWork directly with strategic customers to understand their technical needs, deployment timelines, workload patterns, and success criteriaTranslate customer requirements into clear product requirements, technical specifications, and engineering prioritiesPartner closely with engineering, infrastructure, networking, storage, and operations teams to deliver customer-ready solutionsDrive alignment across customer needs, product roadmap, architecture decisions, and delivery executionUnderstand and define requirements across GPU compute, CPU, memory, local and shared storage, high-performance networking, cluster topology, and orchestration layers such as Kubernetes and SlurmSupport customer conversations around infrastructure design, capacity planning, performance expectations, operational readiness, and acceptance criteriaHelp define product capabilities that can scale beyond a single customer into repeatable AI infrastructure offeringsQualifications8+ years of experience in technical product management, with focus on infrastructure, cloud computing, or AI/ML platformsDeep technical understanding of GPU compute, high-performance networking (InfiniBand, RoCE), distributed storage, and cluster orchestration (Kubernetes, Slurm)Deep AI infrastructure expertise: strong technical knowledge across GPU compute, high-performance networking, storage, bare metal, and Kubernetes or Slurm environmentsExperience working directly with enterprise customers to define infrastructure requirements and translate them into product specificationsStrong understanding of AI/ML workloads including training, fine-tuning, and inference at scaleProven ability to collaborate with engineering teams to deliver complex infrastructure productsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiencesExperience with bare metal infrastructure and managed cloud servicesBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field; advanced degree preferredCompensation$200,000 - $230,000Final compensation will vary depending on years of experience, background/skill set, location, and applicable laws.
