Trueline is seeking an Estimator to join their team with a well-established commercial flooring contractor serving clients across the United States. This is an outstanding opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented construction professional to work alongside an experienced estimator before retirement, gaining valuable mentorship while building a long-term career with a growing organization.What You'll Do as the Estimator:Review plans, specifications, bid documents, and project requirementsPerform accurate quantity takeoffs using AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar softwarePrepare detailed project estimates and written proposalsCreate color-coded shop drawings for installation teamsCoordinate RFIs, ASIs, and bid clarifications with general contractors and project teamsSource and negotiate material pricing while accounting for lead times and project schedulesTrack project specifications, value engineering opportunities, and scope changesParticipate in scope review and pre-bid meetingsEnsure a smooth handoff of awarded projects to the Project Management teamIdentify opportunities to improve estimating processes and documentationBuild strong relationships with general contractors, vendors, and clients throughout the bidding processMust-Haves as the Estimator:3-5+ years of construction estimating experienceAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsExperience performing quantity takeoffs and developing accurate cost estimatesStrong written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized with exceptional attention to detailComfortable managing multiple bids and deadlines simultaneouslyProficiency with Microsoft OfficeValid driver's licenseNice-to-Haves as the Estimator:Commercial flooring estimating experienceHospitality construction experienceExperience working with general contractorsAutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar construction softwareExperience with Monday.com or FloorRightBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related fieldThis Position Offers:Base salary of $80,000-$95,000 based on experiencePerformance-based bonus opportunityHybrid or fully remote flexibility for the right candidateOpportunity to train directly under a highly respected estimator before retirementEmployer-sponsored PPO medical insurance with company contribution toward employee premiumsDental insurance with employer contributionEmployer-paid vision insurancePaid time offStable, growing company with long-term career advancement opportunitiesCollaborative team environment supporting commercial projects nationwideTrueline is an unabashed equal-opportunity employer committed to a diverse workforce.
