Required Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 6–8 years of experience in datacenter infrastructure engineering.
- Proven experience executing migrations of Windows RDS environments, virtualized infrastructure, and enterprise networking in production settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues under time pressure during live migration events.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Windows RDS: Advanced knowledge of RDSH, RD Gateway, Connection Broker, Web Access, and profile management (FSLogix/UPM).
- Networking: Deep expertise in firewalls (Cisco ASA or equivalent), VLANs, VPN, routing protocols, DNS, and DHCP.
- Virtualization: Proficiency in VMware vSphere, vCenter, vMotion, and distributed switches.
- Windows Server: Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, including IIS, NTFS, and storage management.
- Active Directory: Advanced knowledge of AD DS, GPO, DNS, DHCP, and certificate services.
- SQL Server: Working knowledge of SQL Server installation, migration, and connectivity validation.
- Monitoring & Backup: Experience with enterprise monitoring and backup platforms in datacenter environments.
Competency Requirements:
- Technical Depth: Ability to independently resolve complex, multi-component infrastructure issues in a migration context.
- Precision & Documentation: Meticulous approach to executing runbooks, recording deviations, and maintaining configuration accuracy.
- Collaboration: Effective communication with peer engineers, DBAs, network teams, and project leadership during high-pressure cutover events.
- Proactive, self-driven, and able to manage complex technical workstreams with minimal supervision.
