The Opportunity:VIPRE Security Group is seeking a Test Engineer who will set out and continuously improve QA processes, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. This position involves hands-on participation throughout the full project lifecycle — from reviewing requirements and building test plans to executing release testing — in close collaboration with developers, stakeholders, and fellow engineers. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated learner with strong technical skills.This is a fully remote position reporting directly to the Lead Test Engineer.Key Responsibilities:Review product, feature, and design specifications to ensure comprehensive test coverageDefine user stories and create detailed test plansDevelop and maintain manual test casesDrive automation efforts to increase testing efficiency and coverageSupport stakeholders in effort estimation and planningParticipate in sprint planning, standups, and other agile ceremoniesPerform feature, regression, and release testingWrite clear and concise bug reports and collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issuesProactively identify and implement improvements to product quality and testing processesCoordinate with stakeholders, developers, and project leads to meet key dates, milestones, and progress reporting requirementsJob Qualifications:1–2 years of QA experience, including exposure to test automationBachelor's Degree preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldPractical, hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks, with the ability to create and maintain automated testsAbility to work and adapt across different programming languagesKnowledge and working experience in software QA processes and methodologiesExperience working in an Agile or software development lifecycle methodologyStrong root cause analysis and problem-solving skillsSelf-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectivelySound professional judgment with the ability to navigate ambiguityExcellent oral and written English communication skillsFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git version control is a plusExperience testing desktop, mobile, or web applications is a plusKnowledge and/or experience with operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux is a plusKnowledge and/or experience with virtualization technologies such as Docker, VMware, VirtualBox, or Google Cloud Virtual Machines is a plusComfort with at least two of the following tools or similar is a plus:Frameworks: Appium, Cucumber/Selenium, Robot Framework, PyTest, desktop automation frameworks, API/Web Service automation frameworksLanguages: Python, Java, PowerShell, Bash, Batch scriptingAbout VIPRE Security GroupVIPRE Security Group is a leading provider of cybersecurity solutions trusted by businesses and consumers worldwide.
