Requirements and responsibilities

Duration: 12 Months. Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented System Administrator to support and maintain our Windows-based infrastructure primarily running on VMWare hosts. Key Responsibilities: • Provide technical support for Windows desktop and server environments, including Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2016/2019/2022. • Perform user account management in Active Directory (creation, modification, and deactivation). • Support hardware and software installations, configurations, and updates on user devices and servers. • Monitor system performance and assist with routine maintenance tasks, including patching, backups, and anti-virus updates. • Assist with managing and troubleshooting Group Policy, printers, file shares, and permissions. • Respond to Level 1 and Level 2 support tickets, escalating more complex issues to senior team members as needed. • Help maintain inventory of hardware and software assets. • Document IT procedures, configurations, and knowledge base articles. Required Qualifications: • 1+ years of experience in an IT support or system administration role (internships or academic experience may be considered). • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, networking principles, and Active Directory. • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). • Ability to troubleshoot desktop issues, connectivity problems, and user account concerns. • Strong communication skills and a service-oriented attitude. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have): • Experience with PowerShell scripting or other automation tools. • Exposure to Operational Technology such as SCADA or DCS systems • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals.
