Position OverviewIbility is seeking an experienced Senior Momentum Data Conversion Tester to support the implementation of Momentum for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The role supports the Data Conversion Test Lead and the program by leading conversion testing activities for an implementation release, including testing ETL logic, validating conversion loads, and supporting cutover readiness with mock conversions.The tester will conduct deep data conversion validation, including source to target mapping, data profile and cleansing, validation of transformation rules, and interface file format testing. The tester will develop and execute automated scripts to compare pre/post conversion datasets and lead mock conversions, verifying financial reporting accuracy and viability post-load. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team and has experience taking ownership of work assignments and project schedules.Primary ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Data Conversion Test Lead and government client in planning, training, and testing of data conversion aspects of the financial system implementation; coordinate with other vendors on testing to adjudicate, resolve, and close issuesReview and update the testing plan for data conversion components of each implementation wave releaseDevelop and execute manual and automated test scripts; document results, identify issues and defects, and prepare testing summary reportsMaintain and prioritize a testing defect log shared with the government client and other vendors to track testing progressReconcile pre- and post-conversion financial balancesEnsure legacy fields map correctly to Momentum’s data structures and business rulesSupport mock conversions, validate load performance, and confirm that converted data supports go-live operationsMinimum RequirementsA Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience supporting Momentum and/or financial data conversion activities at a large federal agencyMinimum 4 years of related experience executing system performance and data validation tests, documenting test results, and identifying issuesDocumented experience conducting deep data conversion validation testingExperience leading mock system conversions and verifying readiness for go-liveKnowledge of financial data conversion testing strategies and methodologiesStrong written and oral communication skillsStrong analytical skills and a desire to enhance those skills in a challenging, high-visibility environmentAbility to obtain a public trust clearancePreferred QualificationsExperience with the Department of Veterans AffairsExperience with Agility for testingExperience with financial data and standard financial reporting (e.g., Balance Sheet)Documented experience developing and executing automated testing scripts, including experience with VA-approved automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Eggplant, or KatalonBenefits IncludeHealth, Dental, and Vision PlansShort Term Disability/Long Term Disability/Life Insurance/Accidental Death and DismembermentHealth Savings AccountUnlimited Paid Time Off / 11 Federal Holidays Off401kAbout IbilityFounded in early 2021, Ibility is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business and a Woman-Owned Small Business headquartered in Gaithersburg, MD.
